Many cats suffer from FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease), a complex and painful disease of the lower urinary tract, frequently associated with the formation of crystals which can lead to bladder stones. The two most frequent types of crystal which form in the urinary tract are struvite and calcium phosphate. Hill’s Prescription Diet Feline s/d Urinary Care Chicken helps to reduce both of these types of urinary stones.
Struvite crystals and stones tend to develop because of too much magnesium, ammonium and phosphorus in the urine and an alkaline urine pH. Hill’s Prescription Diet Feline s/d Urinary Care Chicken aids the disintegration of struvite stones by making the urine pH more acidic which helps to dissolve struvite stones.

Hills urinary care s/d cat food
My cat was d/ c from the vets yesterday after an emergency admission. Stone in his bladder, which I have never heard of. The vets recommend this prescription S/D formula food,and after tying to source it from them, which I thought would be easy, l found it on Zooplus with money off plus my Blue light discount . I ordered it yesterday and it arrived today , just under 24 hrs . I'm delighted and so was Gus.
As far as I can see ,this formula is like gold dust . 5 stars for me Well done Zooplus.

Excellent for struvite crystals
My neutered male cat, 6 years old, had blocked up completely & couldn’t wee at all. After the vets unblocking him twice in one week, this food has kept him unblocked for 6 months & fingers crossed he will never block up again. A cat that can’t pass urine only has 24hours to live! If you suspect your cat is having problems please seek veterinary advice IMMEDIATELY- if you catch it early and feed this food it could save you a lot of money in the long run!

THIS FOOD WAS RECOMMENDED BY MY VET FOR MY MAIN COON CAT AS SHE WAS REALLY POORLY WITH STONES. NOT ONLY HAS IT WORKED A TREAT BUT SHE REALLY LIKES THE BISCUITS, ALSO GREAT SERVICE FROM ZOOPLUS AS ALWAYS.
