Please note: This product might take a little longer to arrive as it may be shipped from outside the UK.The Cat Mate Glass Fitting Cat Flap - 4 Way Lock has a round design and can be fitted into single- or double-glazing up to 3cm. The transparent 4-way locking cat flap makes barely any noise when it opens or closes, and is tamper-proof. Thanks to the thickness and magnetic closure, it also helps to protect against draughts.
Cats are stubborn creatures and like to decide for themselves when and where they go. As your cat cannot open the door itself, a cat flap such as the Cat Mate Glass Fitting Cat Flap - 4 Way Lock is an ideal practical solution to allow your cat to independently come in and out. The Cat Mate Glass Fitting Cat Flap - 4 Way Lock fits in both single and double glazing, with an extra pane of glass needed for safety glass and multiple glazing. The Cat Mate Glass Fitting Cat Flap - 4 Way Lock is transparent and has a round design, fitting into any glass surface depth up to 3cm.
The brush sealing of the Cat Mate Glass Fitting Cat Flap - 4 Way Lock is waterproof and draught-proof. It has a magnetic closure that prevents the cat flap opening with the slightest breeze, as well as allowing your cat to enter without problem. The cat flap has 4-way closure, allowing for complete flexibility. You can individually decide in which directions your cat can move, with there also being the option to keep the flap completely open or closed. As the Cat Mate Glass Fitting Cat Flap - 4 Way Lock makes almost no noise when it opens or closes, it will not scare your cat.

Practically indestructible
I've had this flap for a few years now, and it still works well. The flap only causes problems in very low temperatures (from around -8°C), as the condensation that forms on the inside freezes, and then the flap either only opens inwards or outwards. This is, of course, inconvenient if the cat can only get out but not back in. At -15°C, that's a real issue. So far, I haven't found a solution for this.

Good and quiet
After having a really bad experience installing a different cat flap with a proper door, we were thrilled with this one – once you’ve made the cut-out, the rest is a breeze. Plus, the flap closes much more quietly than our cheap model. The magnet is quite strong and can withstand even strong winds, which might be a problem for cats who have never used a flap before.

In use for 11 years, indestructible.
The cat flap has been holding up against my two outdoor cats for over 11 years now. They often dash through the flap so quickly that it makes quite a racket. We had it installed in our patio door. Because of the triple glazing, the glazier replaced the glass in the lower part of our door with plastic material. Works brilliantly, especially if the door has two glass panels.

Cat escapes
The installation of the cat flap and the flap itself works without any issues. Unfortunately, our cat can also escape without any trouble. Within a month, she figured out how to bypass the lock.

Really solid
This flap has been in use for almost 25 years now – and sometimes our outdoor cats dash through it at full speed. Once, the flap had to be glued, and to our amazement, it’s still holding strong, for at least ten years now! It’s a shame that the pane itself (the movable passage) doesn’t seem to be available for purchase anymore; I’d love to have a spare one on hand. Zooplus? ;-)

other cats coming in
I have this cat flap, however another cat is still managing to get in to my house when it is locked.
I have had it for 3 years , but can not seem to fin out what the problem could be , or how to try and rectify it

Freezes
I also had the problem that the glazier made a standard hole of 21 cm for me. Our old cat flap fit in. This one didn’t. I had to use a metal saw to cut out the upper corners a bit so it would fit. It’s more airtight than the old one and lets in less draught.
Now it’s so cold at night, and condensation forms on the plastic, which freezes. The cats can go outside, but they can’t push it open to come back in, so they have to wait outside until I let them in.

Cat Mate 210
There are no standard holes in glass panes.
The pane is always custom-made and is relatively expensive when it comes to insulated glass.
It is also not possible to cut a hole into existing insulated glass.

Attention: Cate Mate 210 requires a 22.4 cm hole!
The hole in our pane has the standard diameter of 21 cm. Unfortunately, the ordered Cate Mate 210 didn’t fit, as it requires 22.4 cm. Since window panes are always very expensive, it would be nice if manufacturers used a standardised diameter.

Diameter 22.4, very large
The hole in our pane was made back then according to the standards, with 21.3 cm.
It's a shame that the Cate Mate is larger. That means you'd need a new pane from the glazier.

It was a good decision.
We chose this cat flap because it had good reviews and was also quite affordable. Both we and our two outdoor cats are very happy with it. They quickly figured out how to use it. It’s secure but easy for cats to operate. We haven’t regretted this purchase.

We made the right decision!
We spent a long time researching before deciding on the CatMate 210, and it seems we made the right choice. Very good design, very quiet, and relatively sturdy. Since the cats sometimes dash in and out wildly while playing, we can't lock the latches because they would crash into them hard, which would mean the door wouldn't last long, as we've read before. Since we live in a rented flat on the raised ground floor, we had to have a custom window insert made so that the cat flap could be installed by a glazier (let's not talk about the costs). A cat ladder and an extended window ledge with a flower shelf... behind it, a huge garden. Yes, and our cats are grateful for it. No stress, no begging. Only, if it weren't for the neighbour's tomcat, who also seems to like our CatMate a lot. Well, you can't have everything. By the way, we bought two of these doors straight away, one for potential spare parts. Better safe than sorry!

Solid flap for glass installation
We have a total of three of these flaps in use for our three outdoor cats. The quality is very good, although the seal on the door (thermal insulation) could still be improved.

Fine, but not suitable for clever cats
For a few years, the flap has worked perfectly. But now a Bengal cat has joined the household, and she refuses to accept being locked out. Despite being just under 5 months old, she managed to break the locking mechanism. Reattaching it was possible once, but then the plastic gave up the ghost.
Conclusion: The flap works perfectly as long as your housemates are calm and peaceful (e.g., British Shorthairs)!

Hello, when I bought this cat flap, I first read through some of the reviews. Now, looking back, I have to say I don’t understand what the problem is, especially for the price. I have two cats who regularly go in and out, the flap has been installed in the balcony door, it’s quiet, the magnet holds well (so well that at first my girls had trouble opening the door...) and it hardly lets any cold through. So, I can definitely recommend it.

Good quality
We had this flap in use for about 8 years – after a stormy leap this morning from our "Rummbuff," the door was lying next to it: hinge broken. I was very happy to find the same model here again, as otherwise, a fair amount of money would have gone to the glazier. This consistency speaks for the manufacturer; far too much is thrown away nowadays because there are no replacements available.
Historically, we were very satisfied with this flap. The surrounding felt and the magnetic closure make the flap windproof and fairly quiet. The plastic still looks beautifully white and shiny, with hardly any signs of weathering. Only in winter, during severe frost, it occasionally froze shut – a result of the differing indoor and outdoor temperatures or the humidity differences in this context, but that's not the flap's fault.

Super cat flap for my three outdoor cats
I’m thrilled with my new cat flap, which I had installed in my window by a glazier. Whether the cat is allowed to come in only or go both ways can be easily adjusted using the dial. Thanks to the magnet, the flap stays closed even in strong winds and doesn’t rattle, plus it closes quietly. My cats just had to get used to pushing against it a bit harder, as my previous flap didn’t have this magnetic closure, so they could practically leap straight through. But after two days, they had already figured it out.

4-way cat flap practical and good.
Bought the same cat flap again after 18 years. The workmanship isn’t as nice anymore, and it’s not as sturdy as the old one either. But I was glad it was still available at all. The cut-out doesn’t allow for any other option.
I repaired the old one a few times at the hinge with superglue.
The old sliding locks were sturdier too.
I don’t know yet how good the new one is.
All in all, though, I’m satisfied with both flaps.
