Product description

Grain-free complete wet food formulated to meet the needs of adult neutered cats. With adapted fat and energy content, DL-methionine and taurine. Try 3 different flavours in this handy mixed pack.

Smilla Adult Sterilised Pouches Mixed Pack at a glance:

  • Helps maintain an ideal weight:
Combining L-carnitine with the adjusted fat and energy content can help your cat to maintain a healthy weight
  • Helps relieve the urinary system:
DL-methionine promotes acidification of the urinary pH and can help relieve the urinary system
  • Grain and gluten free:
The cat's digestive system is not designed to process large amounts of grain. This grain-free formula doesn't add unnecessary strain on the digestive system. It is also gluten-free
  • With vitamins and minerals:
Vitamins and minerals play a vital role in your cat’s nutrition. Vitamin D supports the regulation of calcium levels, which is important for the bone formation. Vitamin A and E support eyesight, skin and coat
  • With taurine:
Taurine is an essential nutrient for cats, but their bodies cannot produce sufficient quantities of it. It helps to support your cat’s eyesight and cardiac function
  • Gently prepared:
The carefully selected ingredients are cold-filled and then gently cooked. This preserves the natural and delicious flavour
  • No added sugars, flavourings or preservatives
Smilla Adult Sterilised Pouches have been specifically formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of neutered, adult cats. The needs of every cat differ, but this is particularly true of neutered cats, due to the metabolic and hormonal changes. After your cat has been neutered, their daily amount of activity is often reduced, so the energy requirement needed also decreases. Neutered cats tend to have an increase in appetite, so the wrong food can cause them to rapidly gain weight. Smilla Adult sterilised wet food pouches have been created with an adapted fat and energy content to reduce the risk of weight gain. This adjusted content is combined with L-carnitine, to help to maintain your cat’s ideal weight. Due to the changes in their eating and drinking habits, some neutered cats are vulnerable to urinary stones. Smilla Sterilised contains DL-methionine, which helps to acidify the urine pH value and provides relief to the urinary system. Smilla Sterilised wet food also tastes great and will even satisfy the pickiest paws!

This wet food mixed pack contains three delicious varieties:

  • 4 x Smilla Adult Sterilised with Beef
  • 4 x Smilla Adult Sterilised with Rabbit
  • 4 x Smilla Adult Sterilised with Chicken

With careful selection and processing of ingredients, all the essential nutrients your cat needs, and a delicious flavour your cat will love, Smilla Adult Sterilised Pouches really stand out from the rest. Whether tender chicken, juicy lamb, or tasty rabbit - there is something to satisfy every taste.

Smilla is simply irresistible!

Good stuff but please offer single flavour packs
Our cat likes this but will not touch the Rabbit flavour. Consequently we have to but large packs but give one third away as rabbit will not be eaten. Not cost effective but the only one he will eat so far after going off Bozita which he ate for many years. There is some visible fat in the meat.

Could be on to a winner here.
My 12 y/o Red Tabby is a fuss pot , having tried many foods from ZP and he doesn't touch them. He is a bit of a junk food eater and likes his felix and sheba. Tried him on the Sterilised pouches and he so far has eaten it with glee, so may now need to try the 200g tins as a taster to see if I can wean him off the junk.

My boy's new fave!
My cat absolutely loves this! He barely lets me get the food into his dish, before tucking in with relish. Beef is his favourite, followed by rabbit. He's a little less keen on the chicken (maybe because it's a bit more dense / tends to have less jelly compared to the other two), but he still eats it all up. :)

Surprised by texture
I really wanted this product to be popular with my cats, as the Royal Canin I’ve been feeding them is pricey, but they didn’t like this or the tinned Smilla wet food. The smell is very strong and the textured was more of a paste, with visible white fat. No gravy as such, which they are used to. Sadly I’ll be back to Royal Canin and the price tag that goes with it. Though they do like the Smilla dry food.

My cat will only eat this
Our cat used to have Smilla tins when he was a kitten so I thought I’d try the adult pouches. He loves the smell, texture and taste. You need a fork to mash it up as it comes out solid from the pack. It also doesn’t look great, quite meaty and sometimes the jelly is solid.

Superb , healthy food for rotund cats!
A couple of my cats are a little overweight. They thoroughly enjoy Smilla sterilised...low cal, no nasty ingredients.

Purfect
My cat loves this food, if you’re looking for a healthy, high meat content, no added crap for your cat this is it!

Wasted my money on mixed box
Neither of my cats would touch this stuff - no matter which variety was offered. Very disappointing all round.

Going down well!
My cats are enjoying these! I'm pleased about that because they're very fussy and need a change from their normal tins from time to time. Smilla is one of the good quality foods and a decent price too. It's pleasant for me to deal with and the cats eat all the flavours, so good all round. I'm very pleased to have found it!

A good option, and the added DL-methionine & L-carnitine makes it a bit different.
For a pouch food, with no added grains&sugar this is good value. Yes, the rabbit smells quite strong but my 1 year old likes rabbit in general so its not left sitting around a long time smelling! More variety than 3 flavoues would be a plus as hes not crazy about beef and its not different with this product (though he ate them). The texture not as dry as most pates. Wouldnt use as a main food due to unclear amount of by-products but a good occasional/"cheaper but still quality food" option.

Fussy cat thumbs up for Smilla
I recently stopped feeding my cat dry food and was looking for a healthier wet food without grains or sugars. I’m happy to say my cat loves the mixed pouches, especially the chicken and the beef. He’s starting to get used to the rabbit. I like the variety of a mixed pack because so many commercially available catfoods contain fish and the cat gets used to the strong flavour and won’t eat anything else. I read you should only give a cat fish 1-2 timea/week. So it’s paws up for Smilla!

My picky cat loves it
It is the first time that I buy this product as they changed the recipe of the brand that I used to get and my picky cat wasn't very happy with the flavour change. I was a little worried that he wouldn't eat it, specially after reading other reviews and seeing that some cats did reject the rabbit variant. My cat (did I mention that he is reaaally picky? 😁) loves it, including the rabbit one. I would definitely buy it again

Great. I wish they did fish varieties in pouches too.
My two cats love this food. Having had the small tins of regular Smilla and surprisingly loved them, I tried them on the sterilised pouches as they are both neutered and need to lose a bit of weight and I find pouches much more convenient than tins. There is a bit more jelly than the tins and I add a little water as this type of 'corned beef' texture food tends to be drier than most. They like all the varieties, I just wish they did more, especially fish!

Great food but Rabbit not a hit with 4 cats
So they prefer Smilla pouches to the tins (when do cats ever prefer tins that are more cost effective?!) but they don't like the rabbit flavour so it's too expensive to buy this for the other 2 flavours which is disappointing as the beef goes down like I've given them a plate of fillet steak!

Fussy cat likes it
I would never buy it, because the ingredients don't look too great, but I got it free sample and my fussy cat loved it. He needs to put the weight on so I won't argue. The problem is that he only likes the chicken variety, so I won't buy it again until I can get a single flavour as the rest ends up in a bin.

Single flavour please
Excellent food but rabbit variety is a serious no no! Separating the flavours gives more personalised choice and a saving of cash.

A great idea - but needs to be available in cans too!
A grain-free, non-prescription diet designed specifically for neutered cats, maintaining both a healthy weight and urinary system (big worries in neutered adults) gives you peace of mind. The problem is, making this iteration of Smilla only available in pouches is somewhat limiting. It's far more expensive per 100g for a start, but also, if your cats dislike one of the flavours (in my household it's chicken) the solitary choice of the variety pack leaves you with a lot of waste. Cans please!

Great food
Smells great but sadly my cat is not fond of the rabbit variety. Every other flavour gets woofed down with no probs :)
