Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic - Salmon is a premium complete wet food for adult cats which suffer from nutritional sensitivities. Many cats have an adverse reaction to some foods or additives. This can result in food intolerances and allergies. When your cat has an allergic reaction to food it is because the immune system is reacting badly to certain proteins. Food intolerance is not connected to the immune system. Both allergies and intolerances can cause skin and digestive problems such as itching and diarrhoea.

The best way to establish the cause of food intolerance is to put your pet on an elimination or exclusion diet with limited ingredients and a selected source of animal protein. Skin issues are not just caused by intolerance to certain foods but also a reaction to flea saliva or the environment. A diet with top quality fatty acids helps to support healthy skin.

How can Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic help your cat?
This premium therapeutic food has been specifically developed to meet the nutritional needs of cats that suffer from food intolerances, allergies and skin problems. In order to reduce the possibility of raw ingredient and nutrient intolerance the only source of protein in this food is salmon. Excluding commonly used animal protein from your pet's diet helps to lessen the risk of an adverse reaction. This food is enriched with thistle oil which is particularly high in omega-3 fatty acids.

Concept for Life Veterinary Diet – tailored therapeutic nutrition for your cat.

They have changed it, now it’s awful.
It was a godsend when I first bought it, they have now changed the recipe and now my cat won’t touch it and sadly she can’t have anything else. Why did the manufacturers do this?!

Possible faulty product?
I have a BSH who is a fussy eater and a SIC who has been having stomach troubles on and off for months. My vet recommended a hypoallergenic diet and as my cats already have the CfL dry food, which they love, I tried this. The product was almost grey in colour and was somewhere between and mousse and a paste. They each took a sniff and a lick and that was it, they refused the rest, and I’m not sure I blame them. Is this what it’s meant to be like?

Was great but what have they done to it now!
Put my cat onto this at the advice of my vet. He was diagnosed with IBD about two years ago and had been on ZD, however, a shortage of that sent me looking for something new. I have had him on this for about six months and it’s been good. Then 3 weeks ago I ordered a new batch and I could tell it was different in colour and texture. Since then my cat has been sick every other day. I wish that when companies made changes to these recipes they actually informed pet owners!

Great for diabetic cat with pancreatitis
Bought for my cat to help control pancreatitis flare ups when the Hills Science Plan z/d wet food went out of stock. I haven’t noticed any worsening of symptoms since and my cat actually seems happier and healthier as he MUCH prefers the flavour of this food over the z/d.

Lifesaver
My cat has a chronic pancreatic condition and I have tried every veterinary diet possible. She was vomiting at least twice a day and was very underweight. Since switching to this food she has only vomited twice in the last month! She has put weight back on and is so much healthier.

Cats wont touch
I bought this for my elderly cat who has senstivities. He wouldn't eat it. So then i decided to give it to my two other cats - neither would touch it. I left it for a few days and tried them with another can - same thing again, sniff & walk away. So... I gave the whole lot I'd bought to my friend who also has 3 cats - guess what? None would touch it.

My cat hates it
She won't eat it. Hates it and it smells terrible. She's not normally a picky eater and of all the foods I tried, this one was the worst. I donated the rest of these to the food bank. She loves Kattovit Sensitive much better and she's healthier than she's ever been.

Only thing my cat can eat
Smells pretty strongly of salmon and has a very strange look and consistency. But it is the only thing my cat can keep down after a long course of antibiotics, so it has literally been a lifesaver for him.

Not appealing
Bought this to try for one of my cats who is suffering from bowel and digestive disorders, we were advised to try a hypoallergenic food. This is very bland and unappealing, none of my cats would go near. Won't even try any! Would not recommend, shame to waste so much food

Digestive issues under control
At the start Lucky only ate this food reluctantly but now she loves it. Her digestive issues have also improved, and no more diarrhea either. She gets less to eat now (MACs), but has still managed to gain a little bit of weight. I am very happy that I decided to try this food.

Recommended
My cat emptied her bowl in a matter of seconds. It hasn't been easy to find some wet food, and a grain-free one to boot. She loves the fish flavour. We can definitely recommend it!
