Healing remedy, at least for us
When our Frodo suffered a thigh fracture last year, he ended up in a hamster cage, and somehow we had to feed him. We knew he loved fresh dandelions, but he needed something else too. In a feed mix from zooplus, there were pea flakes, which he always picked out. Of course, he ate other things as well, but to this day, the pea flakes have remained his favourite treat.

Princess and the Pea
My doe is absolutely crazy about the pea flakes. As soon as I rustle the bag, she immediately looks at me and hops over. My buck doesn’t like the flakes as much as my doe does. So I’d agree with the previous reviewer. I just gave it a try, and lo and behold, my little princess loves the pea flakes... It’s the same with us humans, isn’t it? You eye up the unknown at first, and if you like it, you buy it again; if not, well, it was worth a try.
All I can say is: I’m very, very satisfied, and so is my doe!!!!

It’s received quite differently, but it tastes good!
In our wild garden, many different types of wildlife bustle about. Mice (2 different species) and rats (none of which have ventured into our house yet, as there’s plenty of food available outside), a marten, frogs, and lots of birds, such as blackbirds, blue and great tits, robins, chaffinches, goldfinches, coal tits, black redstarts, yellowhammers, bullfinches, sparrows, dunnocks, magpies, wood pigeons, and the tiny wren. There’s always something going on here, whether it’s summer or winter. If you want to do something good for the wildlife, you shouldn’t just think about feeding them but also providing fresh water. Of course, in these freezing temperatures, the water freezes within an hour, but we’ve made use of a heating cable suitable for garden or pond use. The shortest cables for this purpose aren’t expensive and are very effective. We’ve placed the heating cable in spirals inside a 1-metre-long tray for flower boxes and replace the water every morning using a watering can. During the day, we’re practically overrun with birds, and at night, the four-legged creatures come to quench their thirst.
Now, onto the pea flakes. These are received very differently by each species. Just as human tastes vary, so do those of animals. One mouse loves the flakes, while the one next to it doesn’t even look at them. It’s the same with the birds. One great tit tries them and clearly finds them tasty, while another doesn’t even test them. The wood pigeons seem to really enjoy the flakes. Sometimes the flakes remain untouched for a day, and other times they’re all eaten. I can highly recommend the pea flakes. Just give them a try, and even if the animals don’t immediately go for them, keep offering them again and again. Sometimes it takes a while for new food to be accepted. After all, unfamiliar things don’t always appeal to us straight away either ;-)
Best regards

To be taken with caution...
My dwarf rabbit, 5 years and 3 months old, was severely weakened in his digestive system due to an infection with rabbit snuffles and the subsequent treatment. When I tried to nurse him back to health with these flakes, he developed diarrhoea, which he then succumbed to. 😢
The vet said his belly was completely bloated and there was nothing more they could do!
