Well below recommended size for hamsters, and the height makes it dangerous as hamsters aren’t agile climbers and have poor eyesight. Not sure why this is advertised for hamsters.

My hamster has managed to open the door and escape and not been found so really not worth the money

size of the cage is fine but the 2nd and 3rd storey bases are made out of cheap ply not really suitable for cleaning and hard to take out, the wheel fits between the bars too tightly and wont turn easily. If your pet makes a bed on the upper 2 tiers half the bedding and sawdust falls out of the cage and makes a constant mess as there is no lip around the cage to keep in the sawdus.t For £60 you would expect a better design, be prepared with the Dyson or expect sawdust all around the house!

According to current knowledge, hamsters are no longer kept in cages. Due to their poor depth perception, they can get seriously injured or even die while climbing. A stress-free and good life for them is made possible by a terrarium with a minimum floor area of 100cm×40-50cm and a bedding layer of 20-30cm, so they can dig as is natural for hamsters. The diameter of the hamster's running wheel should be 28-32cm, so they can run with their back straight.

Hamster cages should be on one level and at least 100x50x50 cm. I’m disappointed that proper guidance isn’t being given.
