After reading all the rave reviews, I was really looking forward to this sand. However, I was deeply disappointed and even angry that I spent money on this. Selling such a mess as bathing sand exceeds all imagination on my part. This product can at best be described as dust with bits in it. As soon as I opened the packaging, so much dust rose up that I had to sneeze and cough. There was no way to use it without a protective mask.

Our mice don’t like using the sand at all, and it’s clear why as soon as you change it: the sand is incredibly dusty. Even as a human, you can barely breathe. Now I’ve got two packs of this stuff at home and can’t use it. Frustrating.

I've never seen so much dust with a sand product before! The whole room smells of dust or rather of the sand's own odour! Never again!

I bought the sand for my hamster. The sand has a very strong odour, or to put it bluntly, it stinks terribly. But what’s even worse is that it’s incredibly dusty. All the furnishings in the sand bath ended up with a layer of dust, and whenever the hamster dug in it, a proper cloud of dust would rise. Really disappointing, but I had to throw all the sand away because my hamster kept sneezing and the smell was absolutely unbearable.

Two of my hamsters had an allergic reaction to the sand, and the others ended up with extremely scruffy fur. Additionally, the sand has an unpleasant smell! I won’t be buying this sand again!

I don’t like this sand at all. I only wanted to try it out so she could dig in it, as she always does with the wood shavings. And those make a mess. But unfortunately, it was a complete failure. Besides, this 1kg bag looks more like a half-kilo bag. I won’t be ordering it again.
