For a product that cost a few quid, has now cost my hamsters health!
I purchased this product for my hamsters. I received on 05/11/21, and put straight in hamsters enclosure. Fast forward to today, 08/11/21, and I noticed my hamster had puss on his belly, and a little abscess. Checked the whole cage and all items inside, to realise this product was quite sharp. I’ve taken my hamster to the vets who’s on antibiotics now, and is hopefully going to be okay. Vet agrees that the tunnel is likely the cause due to sharp bits.

Destroyed after one day
My degus destroyed the roll after just one day, such a shame.

Smells awful
Product arrived in good enough condition but it absolutely reeked to the point where it made me physically nauseous. It smelt like the wood had been damp and didn’t dry properly combined with absorbing the smell of animal dung.
The actual product was fine after putting in the oven to disinfect but the stench was so strong my oven now reeks.
Maybe this was a dud but didn’t want to go through the hassle of getting a replacement for a £3 product.

Lasted 40 minutes!
I thought this was a good idea, however it lasted just over 40 minutes with two gerbils 😟 I am staggered that it lasted such a short time. Waste of money

Not recommended due to the smell.
We placed the tunnel in our hamster's cage for a few days. Suddenly, the hamster became very lethargic. The only new item in the cage (the willow tunnel) was immediately removed, as it emitted an extremely chemical smell. Our hamster has since recovered and is back to being healthy.

I am very disappointed.
1 star: The tunnel has a penetrating smell, and my rabbits avoid it, even though they love willow and wood. Honestly, for the price, I expected more.

I bought it, smelled it, sent it back!
I preferred not to give it to my rabbit because it somehow smelled like chemicals or something similar! I’ll stick to the hay tunnel, which I can highly recommend!
It’s also available at Zooplus, and the rodents can nibble on it without any worries, play with it, hide in it, and much more! P.S. It smells completely normal and pleasantly of fresh hay!

Oh dear, never again!
Unfortunately, I have to completely disagree with the first comment.
I bought this willow tunnel for my guinea pigs, and it had such a strong smell right from the start.
Unfortunately, it didn’t smell like willow at all...
I even left it out in the fresh air and then gave it to my guinea pigs, but there was no way around it. Now it’s been thrown away. That was a real letdown.
