Wolf of Wilderness Senior Soft "Wide Acres" - Chicken

Even though one of my dogs doesn't like it much it runs out quickly and it smell horrible. I have a lung condition and it made me cough, the old recipe was better, I'll be trying a brand of food that closely resembles the old recipe of senior dry Wolf of Wilderness but its not stocked by Zooplus, if it suits them we will be buying that instead. I did manage to get some of the old recipe from Ebay a couple of times. As far as I'm concerned the new recipe is a disaster.

The food is rock hard and has nothing to do with soft food. It also smells pretty unpleasant. My dogs didn't even look at it... which I can totally understand.

Kibble described as "soft", meaning "tender" or "moist" (if I remember my English correctly...), but they're actually "hard"!! (tough) The description really needs to be updated!!

Unfortunately, the food has such a strong smell of its own that my dogs won't eat it – I would never buy it again.

Very large kibble. Not suitable for dogs without a full set of teeth or with bad teeth, despite being called 'soft'. The outside is a bit soft, but that's about it. 90% of the kibble itself is still rock hard. There's also a chemical smell, maybe because of the soft coating? Trying to soften the kibble in water doesn't seem to work either. After 15 minutes in water, the outside is still soft but the inside remains hard...

The kibble has quite a strong vinegar smell when you open the packet, which can be a bit sharp on the nose. The best-before date is fine, but my dog won’t eat it.

After years of giving my dog WoW food, both the regular and senior varieties, which he always loved, this food was a total flop. Even the smell seems off-putting. Such a pity, now I have to give away the big pack.
