Purizon Original Fish – Grain-free

We have used the fishy Wolf of Wilderness for a long time, but when it changed, its recipe we looked for an alternative. We swapped over very carefully, but even though we’ve got to the end of the 12kg bag, the horrendous flatulence and loose stools have meant that we will discontinue with this one. I kid you not, the smell is simply awful!! We have tried mixing in some freshly cooked rice to try and help with the loose stools, but I think we’d be better just looking for an alternative.

My dogs were on this years ago, had no issues. Recently tried them back on it. The smell has completely changed. It’s horrendous and my dogs had upset stomach for weeks.

My dog loves this food. Her coat is really soft and shiny. We have no nasty poo’s, only 2 small amounts daily and she is a large girl. A really good find.

When we suddenly could not buy the 400g packet of Purizon - Adult Grain-Free Fish Dry Cat Food (our two cats favourite) we bought the Purizon Original Fish - Grain Free but neither cat liked or ate it. ?????

​I searched for my usual Purizon cat food(fish) and I've brought this brand for many times so I didn't pay much attention to details. Only found out it was for dog after opening it.

We bought another bag of the dog food, but the kibble is different from the previous one - it has a different color and shape. Our dog developed diarrhea and an allergic reaction, the ears started itching as well. This 12 kg bag also does not have a zip closure.

Had this now for a month and my dog has done nothing but soft stools and diarrhoea,he had a brand(Acana Pacifica) that also was fish based with no problems yes twice the price so lesson learnt that cheap isn’t the best option. If I could give zero stars I would. I recommend avoiding this brand. We are going back to Acana.

I have been feeding my medium-sized mixed breed rescue dog this kibble for just over a couple of months. If I had not witnessed it first-hand, I would not have believed that a food could have the impact that it has. On daily and extended walks she has shown both increased vitality and stamina. Her rough double coat will never shine but its texture and appearance have significantly improve. It's softer, finer and has a glow to it.

My dog has allergies to various ingredients and this food is perfect and is enjoyed by my fur baby

Purizon is the only dog food that does not upset my dogs stomach. So pleased my vet recommended it to me. Happy customer, happy dog. Many thanks

Looking for a grain free chicken free food due to sensitivity. But no matter how little I mix with my dogs normal food she produces wet soft stools. Smells nice and my dog loves it but indigestible. Try the small bag first! Will stick with Markus Muhl Black Angus.

Swapped my girl onto this. She loves the fish flavour. Hardly any wind on this one, which is amazing with a FB. Her coat is looking great and she’s happy & healthy on it. Did a lot of research into grain free etc, and this isn’t full of nasties. I’ve had my cats on Purizon fish flavour for quite a few years now. Wouldn’t change as happy with it for all of them.

Purizo Fish Adult is a carefully balanced grain free food with an array of specially selected fish.Our dog love it.

I've always bought these kibbles, but since they changed the formula, I've noticed my dog has diarrhoea. Also, they come with no closure system at all and they smell bad, unlike the old ones which used to have a nice scent. Obviously, they've made the product worse just to save money.

We've been feeding this variety for quite a while now, and it's generally well tolerated and eaten with pleasure. But why isn't the big bag available anymore? We've been waiting for several months for it to come back in stock. Unfortunately, customer support can't say when that'll be. Of course, the smaller packs are more expensive per kilo.

Both of our dogs (amstaff and bull terrier) like this food. They need less of it compared to lower quality foods, and they’re not losing weight, plus the amount and smell of their stool has drastically decreased. Unfortunately, the large pack size is no longer available, which is a real shame—we’d be really happy if it came back!!!

Unfortunately, the change wasn't just to the packaging—it got worse. My dogs have loved this food for years, but now they can't tolerate it and are having trouble with their digestion. Time to look for something better.

My miniature dachshund loves it. The food smells good and has a nice texture.

I loved this food, but well, everything has to come to an end. We managed when the recipe was changed a bit, but unfortunately it looks like the manufacturer decided to completely change the formula of the fish food... And now they've made a new one with salmon and chicken. And this food is no longer available anywhere in a large pack. Probably just leftovers are being sold off. Still by the kilo. I had to quickly look for an alternative without chicken. It was tough, because you get used to things. We were together for almost 3 years. Goodbye.

Kim loves them. Great value for money. He had stomach problems, but since he started eating these kibbles, everything's sorted.

Our two dogs have been happily eating Purizon Fish for years and they get on really well with it.

The only recipe with a good composition that doesn’t contain chicken, which is an allergen, on top of everything else. But it’s no longer available in a 12 kg bag. So now I’ll have to change kibble brands again and once more put my pet through a difficult adjustment period...

First of all, he eats it well and his skin problems have significantly improved (what’s left now is hay fever, which you can notice during periods when he has more or less trouble with it). He weighs 15kg, is moderately active and 90 (+/-3g) grams is enough for him; if he gets more, he gains weight, which isn’t desirable. Turns out it’s also very nutritious :)

Negative experience, the batch was maybe contaminated with something. I’m worried about my dogs who were affected (all the ones who ate Purizon Fish), while the others eating a different brand are perfectly fine. I feel terribly guilty.

Terrible and we’re desperate

Liquid stools in 10 out of 12 Pomeranians, I thought I was dealing with a quality food. I even bought it a second time, hoping the dogs would get used to it, but I was wrong to keep trusting the brand. I also tried it with other breeds and got the same results. Expensive food isn’t always properly formulated.

The 12 kg pack is suddenly no longer resealable and the kibble looks different. After years of eating this food, my dogs developed digestive issues from the kibble in this new packaging. Such a shame, as I was always very satisfied.
