Hill’s Science Plan Mature Adult 7+ Medium with Lamb & Rice

Too easily misled by the marketing hype of Science plan and vet recommended on packaging so that when I found a long established independent dog food review website managed by an experienced nutritionist, I was really disappointed to find that the nutritional rating for Hills is as low as 45%, due partly to the above average carbohydrate content of maize and wheat. Maize has a high GI index, wheat is a low cost bulking ingredient. My Hills is now replaced with a dry food with twice the nutrition

Made with lamb meat, which is more suitable than chicken for a Doberman without weight issues. The kibble size is perfect. Since he's quite a greedy dog, with larger kibble he used to choke and sometimes regurgitate.

I switched to this kibble when my dog turned 7, moving to the "senior" type. My dog likes it, and I haven't noticed any problems.

I have a very picky dog, and I had to try a lot of brands before finding the right one! But with this one, he eats them happily, even with enthusiasm. Plus, he’s in excellent health despite his age and still loves to play. I recommend them without hesitation.
