Nutritional Content Really Disappointing

Too easily misled by the marketing hype of Science plan and vet recommended on packaging so that when I found a long established independent dog food review website managed by an experienced nutritionist, I was really disappointed to find that the nutritional rating for Hills is as low as 45%, due partly to the above average carbohydrate content of maize and wheat. Maize has a high GI index, wheat is a low cost bulking ingredient. My Hills is now replaced with a dry food with twice the nutrition

Excellent Product

My 11 year old Collie has been eating Science Plan for years and the mature range suits her well, with no wastage. Great price from ZooPlus and delivery times have got better recently. Love the Rewards scheme to get lots of treats and toys etc.

Excellent well balanced food

We have just rescued a Jack Russel who was underweight and very timid. We started Tilly on this food and she has gained weight, is very active and has a beautiful glossy coat. As she had a bad start in life we want to give her the very best. We now have a very happy dog.

Excellent for dogs prone to diarrhoea !

Having had a bad bout of Campylobacter and Colitis as a puppy, my dog now has a 'delicate' stomach, prone to dreadful bouts of diarrhoea. This food has gone a long way towards to preventing the worst of problems for her. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for my little middle aged Tibetian Spaniel

Hill's Science Plan is hard enough for me to find but to have such a range at my fingertips is a bonus. Mini bite is perfect for my small dogs (Cavalier King Charles and a Tibbie) and they love the Chicken flavour.

Perfect for a working dog

My springer was losing weight - it was so active ordinary food was just not providing the nourishment and protein it needed. The vet suggested moving to this and the dog has got stronger and gained weight - but is not fat, so I presume the weight must be increased muscle and all over development.

Irreplaceable

Having tried another "high quality"; hypo allergenic; all-natural food I returned to science plan mainly because my spaniel didn't have a solid poo in the entire time she was on the other stuff! Back with Hill's and she's fine again.

Great dogs grubs

I use this food when I can afford it by the sack great for my EBTs but I prefer the 18k so when the good cheaper deals are on... I'm in ;)

great grub

I feed my retired greyhound with this food, as she was fed infected raw meat in kennels, she has helicobactor pylori, which is an infection of her gut, so she can only eat this food without passing a bloody diarrhoea, it is a really good dry kibble which she seems to like. The only thing I have against this particular food, is the high protein content, my poor greyhound is climbing up the walls despite all the exercise she gets, it would be really great if Hills could make a lower protein kibble for sensitive stomachs, as retired greyhounds do not require too much protein.
