Hill's Prescription Diet Metabolic Weight Management with Lamb & Rice

Despite this being a diet kibble our dogs love it and have lost some weight whilst being on it.

Our Poochon absolutely loved this food, as did our two Visla's whenever they managed to get their paws on some. I had to add a little bit to their bowls as they stopped eating their usual food out of protest. The dry food and the tin food both have a strong meaty smell which enticed the dogs, piece size was ok. We received the food as a free trial from the Home Tester Club. Mo our Poochon is a little over weight, i tried to follow the guidelines on the bag, he lost 1/2 kilo over the trial.

When the food arrived for me to feed it to my dog, I was very excited as I know that Hills Science Plan food is extremely good quality. My dog, however had different ideas! I started introducing it to her by adding a little into her regular qet food. She would sniff and walk away. I tried every tactic known to man to get her to try it… Nope! She sniffed her food and walked away. After about 4 weeks, all she had to eat was her dry food. If her wet food contained the Science Plan, she refused it.

The biscuits are quite big for a small dog. My 5.5kg Lhatese they were fine for but my 2kg chipoo they were a bit too big for. They both really liked the wet food. My Lhatese struggles will her weight due to been a scraps hover from the kids but I do feel this has helped.

Was skeptical but Maggie seemed to really enjoy this food from the off. After a short while I noticed that her poo was firmer and less smelly and she seemed to have more energy. I can now notice a slight difference in the size of her at the end of the trial although we haven't yet been back to the vet to check her weight. My dog had been put on a diet by my vet. This is just the thing she needed. She has a long way to go as she needs to lose 4kg. When I weighed the food for the first time it really didn’t look like enough but I did as instructed. My dog doesn’t seem hungry with the portion recommended. My dog is half Lab and he’s starting to get on a bit now with him being 6. When he stands up after lying for a while his joints had started to click. He’s been on the Hill’s prescription diet Metabolic + Mobility Weight Management J/D for around 4 weeks now and honestly his joints are saying thank you and he doesn’t seem to be clicking half as much! When i first opened the product there wasnt an over powering smell that you get with other foods. My dogs took to it straight away and the food is the perfect size for them to eat. Great tasting, dog enjoyed it very much, eating it all in one go! It’s the only diet food that has helped my Pepe lose weight, even though he has Cushing’s disease and tends to be overweight. This is already the third bag I’ve bought for him, and the 12 kg pack lasts me months and is really good value.

I place a monthly order for Hills Metabolic Weight with rice and lamb for my Labrador. Now I’ve noticed that the 12 kg bag costs 13 euros more in just one month. Unfortunately, the coupons never apply to this food. I am satisfied with the food itself, though.
