Excellent Product
i got this for my boxer. He is very adept at destroying toys. This Kong Extreme toy barely has a scratch. My dog spends hours chewing & chasing this toy.

Very robust
I've has these for my 3 dogs for ages and they are still in great nick. I use them everytime I leave the house for a few hours. Easy to disinfect too.

doesn't last long
Unfortunately, it turned out for us as well that the item doesn’t last long. Either the quality has declined, or my little rascal has figured out how to chew through it within an hour... such a shame!! Now I have no idea what I can buy for him to chew on for a bit. :-(

Brilliant
This bone has a lot of negative reviews, however I was desperate for a tough wear toy for my heavy chewer Samoyed puppy. I filled it with one of the Applaws pates I purchased on this site and froze it. My dog was occupied with the toy for over an hour. He absolutely loves the shape and challenge of getting the treat out. We also have just the original Kong cone, but this bone proved to be miles better.

Luck of the draw
Apparently, you either get one that lasts "forever" or one that gets torn to pieces after just a few minutes. It seems to be pure luck – such a shame! The dog still enjoys it, though, so 3*.

Great
I got it for my Bolonka Zwetna, and he spends ages playing with it. When there’s a chew stick inside, he’s absolutely thrilled!

Kong Extreme Goodie Bone
I’ve been buying this product for years. My Amstaff loves it, but unfortunately, the time it takes for her to chew it to the point where her teeth get stuck in it keeps getting shorter (a maximum of 1 month). I find it very disappointing.

Very sturdy and versatile
I bought the bone for chewing, but my dog just carries it around everywhere. He needs a job during his little toilet breaks, so he carries the bone with him. He still needs to learn to look after it properly, though. I think the item is great and it's also easy to clean.

Perfect for chewers
I have an American bulldog and she makes short work of most toys even the red version of these but this one last a hell of a lot long 1st one over a year and still isn't completely destroyed but thought I'd treat her to a new one. Stick a gravy bone in each end and she'll happily sit there for 30 mins chewing away. Worth every penny!

Can't live without it anymore.
Simply brilliant. My dog loves this bone and can't do without it anymore. It really lasts a long time, unlike the red KONG bone, which broke quickly. It's a shame that the openings are only suitable for larger treats. My dog has had it for probably 5 years now and still carries it around everywhere, hoping for a refill – a clear recommendation to buy.

Unfortunately, more show than substance
I bought the bone for our 10-month-old Amstaff, but unfortunately, the fun only lasted a few hours before the bone ended up in three pieces. So, for dogs that love to chew and have a bit of bite strength, it’s definitely not recommended—such a shame.

Very sturdy, but smells at first
My two bulldogs can't destroy this toy. At first, it smells really bad, so I'm deducting a point for that. Otherwise, my two love it, and I'm very satisfied.

Quality is declining
I bought such a bone 6 years ago. Three dogs played with it. The fact that it gave up the ghost after 6 years is absolutely fine.
I immediately ordered a new one, but I quickly noticed that the quality has significantly deteriorated. Just 3 weeks after purchase, the bone is almost split in two, even though my GSD only played with it under supervision. I find this statement from the description, "The robust natural rubber makes the Extreme Goodie Bone particularly durable and especially suitable for dogs with a strong chewing instinct," to be completely exaggerated.

Very good!
Okay, they do smell a bit at first, but...
We have a 45kg Saint Bernard-Stafford-and-then-some mix, and he hasn’t managed to destroy one yet. Chew roots, antlers, etc. get demolished in no time. And with a bit of liver sausage inside, it’s a great and long-lasting activity. For us, it’s perfect.

Super👍
I bought this thing as a double pack straight away for my two favourites (French Bulldogs), and they immediately pounced on it. Great for keeping them occupied and perfect for dogs that love to chew.
I quickly managed to deal with the smell by putting the bones in the dishwasher once.

Smells.
That was unfortunately a complete waste of money... it smells like new winter tyres! The vet said... get rid of it!
Such a shame, our dog has just had surgery and we wanted to give him something to keep him occupied! Very disappointed with this KONG product!

Ideal for my strong chewer
This is my dog favourite toy! He has chewed and chewed it, and it hasn't got any cracks or bits missing! He is a toy destroyer, and the only toys which have survived him are the Kong extreme toys and the few toys he's not interested in. I just wish Kong made a few more extreme version toys.

Unfortunately, it didn’t last long.
We once bought a bone like this, and it's already a year old. So I thought I'd do my dog a favour and order a new one, but he managed to break it in no time. Meanwhile, the old one is still going strong. We were very disappointed with this product.

Lasted 5 minutes.
I thought, since this is the Kong Extreme, I could buy this toy for my dog. He can't destroy the XL Kong or the Kong ball, but unfortunately, the Extreme Bone only lasted 5 minutes and ended up in 3 pieces. Such a shame.
For dogs that aren't so focused on destroying things, it's probably a great toy :)

Great
So, I've had it for two years now. My pitbull terrier has understood the point behind it—that it's about treats and not about destroying it. I always find it odd when people complain about a product, even though you need to teach your dog how to handle toys. If I leave my dog alone with the thing, of course it's going to get damaged. I think the thing is brilliant.
P.S.: Your dogs need to learn to respect your stuff!
