These balls are a safer size than some so less of the choking risk which is a real issue, I am fully aware of. Of course, with larger dogs, there is still the potential for swallowing. If your dog enjoys destroying ties, I do not think these will last very long. For my small Rottie female, she tends to play with balls as opposed to destroying them. Where as my large male likes to destroy everything.

The tennis balls have worn down my dog's canine teeth. These balls are made of rubber and don’t rub against the teeth... My dog absolutely loves playing with them. One star deducted because the squeaker broke after just 10 minutes of play...

The Chuckit! Ultra Balls are the only ones our dog can't destroy. Both me and the dog were overjoyed to find out that the ball now comes with a squeaker! The fun lasted about 10 minutes, and then the ball went silent...! Our dog just bites too enthusiastically. Now the ball occasionally lets out a very faint squeak when he chews on it, and the dog is blissfully happy. I’ll still order the ball again—for 10 minutes of great fun, it’s worth it!

3 stars for heavy chewers: After 2 weeks of intensive use, the ball unfortunately broke at the squeaker. But it still made noises. 5 stars for play and fun: If you only use the ball for occasional throwing games to tire your dog out, it holds up without any issues. The dog is just sad when you have to tell them it's time for a break ;) So overall, 4 stars!
