Had to Google it first and found what I was looking for. It's Omega-3 fatty acids. Eicosapentaenoic acid, or EPA for short, and Docosahexaenoic acid, or DHA for short. They're also referred to as "active" because they can be directly utilised by the body. Both fatty acids are abundant in fatty cold-water fish, i.e. mackerel, herring, tuna, salmon, and sardines, as these fish feed on specific marine algae that produce DHA. The oil is almost odourless and easy to dose. My cat liked it straight away in his wet food. All the ingredients can only be good for his coat and metabolism. Since he also gets Orijen dry food (the world's best dry food!), I only feed him 1/2 teaspoon every two days—too much isn't good either. I can highly recommend the oil and also the taurine offered here as an ideal supplement.

I can only recommend this oil! My dog struggles with allergy problems that make her coat look quite dull and lifeless. After 2 weeks of using Hunter Salmon Oil, everyone has been asking us what we’ve done because her coat is now shiny—really noticeable. Simply fantastic! My Collie mix girl has only been getting this salmon oil for a few days, but you can already see the first improvements! Her jet-black coat is shiny, super soft, and beautiful. And the shedding, which is the main reason I bought the oil, has noticeably decreased! Both she and my two cats enjoy taking the oil and tolerate it very well.

My tomcat Felix doesn’t really like the oil. When I add it to his food as recommended, he refuses to eat. Unlike my cat Pepper, though—she’s thrilled when there’s more left for her. Eventually, hunger wins out and he eats it over the course of the day. I think I’ll try a different oil next time if necessary.

A very good oil and unique in an aluminium bottle! Always slightly chilled, even if you don’t store it in the fridge! I think it’s a cold-pressed salmon oil?! It would be nice to get confirmation from Zooplus at some point (description). Price on offer (€10.99) – ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! At the regular price of €14.99, it’s average for a salmon oil. All in all, a very good oil! Hopefully, Zooplus will offer this friendly deal more often!!!

Our Bully puppy has developed very soft fur with this. She hardly sheds any hair. I can definitely recommend the oil. The little one really likes the taste.

We've been using salmon oil for quite a while now, and both the Labradors and the Dachshund mix have soft fur that shines beautifully. Especially the Labradors, who sometimes shed hair like there's no tomorrow – that's improved a bit. However, we don't give it to them every day, only twice a week. The dogs practically dive into their bowls, and even the neighbour's cat seems to find it tasty. There's no sign of them being overly excitable or hyperactive; the dogs are as sweet and cheeky as ever. We can definitely recommend it.

Our dog has been getting this oil since June. He used to have dandruff and a dull coat. That's all in the past now – his coat is shiny again, and the dandruff has disappeared. However, I don’t attribute this solely to the oil, as I’ve also switched to a different dry food (in the mornings) and home-cooked meals (in the evenings). Still, the oil certainly plays an important role, and I wouldn’t want to go without it anymore. Our dog gets about half a teaspoon 3-4 times a week. He takes it without any fuss, though he does have a particular fondness for fish. We haven’t noticed any changes in his behaviour.

Our Labrador lady and our Jack Russell take the oil without any problems and have very beautiful, shiny coats. We think it's really great!

Stopped using it after three days because our Eurasier bitch was tearing through the flower beds like crazy, digging holes and was almost impossible to stop. The bottle says: lifts the mood! Now we know what that means. We've been giving Velcote for five days now and everything is back to normal. Dog and coat are great!

I’m absolutely thrilled with the Hunter salmon oil. I’ve tried another one before, but I didn’t notice much of a difference in my dogs. Since I started using the salmon oil from Hunter, their coats have become much softer and shinier... I can only recommend it!

An exceptionally good alternative to "hemp feed oil". I am very satisfied with the result, especially since its effect is excellent. My "Max" has developed a wonderful coat, and his overall health condition is also very good.
