Trixie Fur Detangler

This is the best brush I’ve ever had. I have a ragdoll cat with very long fur and have tried many brushes before, but this one is by far the most effective. After about 30 minutes of grooming, I removed a huge amount of loose hair. It does a great job of getting rid of dead fur while keeping his coat long and beautiful. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Please DO NOT use this product! I usually use a rake comb for my long haired german shepherd, and I wasnt getting much fur out (which now I know is a good sign as I was keeping ontop of his brushing) I used my zooplus points and tried this..Initially I was amazed at how much fur was coming out, then I realised it was completely stripping his undercoat, cutting it and thinning his fur. His coat is now ruined. Do not use this!!!!!

This tool took far too much hair off my cocker spaniel. Took all his beautiful topcoat really quickly and he's a show type cocker so should have a long coat. The instructions were misleading to a first time dog owner. Not to be used all over your dog unless you like your dog bald! It's going to take 6 months minimum before his coat regrows. I'm just hoping that it does regrow to his former glory. As you can tell I'm very upset and hope no-one else has to go through such heartache.

This isn’t universal for all coats. I bought for my long haired cat and the grooves are far too sharp and wide - it would cut him. This product should be relabelled.

I bought this thinking that I would be able to get the cots out of our Yorkiepoos without having to pull and cut the hair. It is not suitable for inch to 2 inch long haired dogs. I haven’t even taken it out of the packaging as I didn’t want to hurt my girls.

Are you kidding !!! I have tried so many brushes all pretty useless. This brush is totally ingenious. I have no idea how it works but it works .. in fact my mind is blown at how well This works !! This is the best money spent and I will def be recommending to friends and family !

But use it gently! My cat loves it!

This thing is SHARP. I used it a few times on our cocker spaniel but each time I stabbed or sliced open my fingers. It now sits on the side never to be used again. If it so easily cut my skin it would do the same on our dog.

Do not buy this if your dog does not have an undercoat. Misleading product description as being suitable to short hair dogs, it isn't. It's not a curry comb, took no dead fur of my dog, only scrapped his skin and picked off loads of scabs. For being a dog that usually loves grooming, he actively avoided it, I believe it was due to the comb hurting him. Gone back to using a curry comb from the stables.

Highly recommended. Does an amazing job getting rid of dead undercoat/fluff without hurting. Very clever. Perfect for long to very long coats, even if very thick.

I don't usually leave reviews but on this occasion i decided i had to rave about this comb. Having a very hairy German Shephard i have used a lot of very expensive brand grooming tools but have not really been very happy with results. As any GSD owner knows they can be prone to clumps of hair on back legs ...This comb worked wonders its the best comb i have ever used for clump removal getting all the way down...took no time at all ...BRILLIANT!!!!!!

My long-haired cat has been struggling to groom himself since he got older, and usually I can tease out the matted fur with a lot of patience from both sides. This year is the worst yet! I've tried the slicker brush I've always used to brush him and he hated it when it got caught in his matted fur. I've just received this today and tried it on him. It has got rid of most of the matted fur in less time than it takes for me to tease out one patch of matted fur! And with very little stress for him.

this product is amazing, i have 3 long haired Newfoundlands. and this curry comb is our best frind

This is quite simply the best grooming tool I have brought. When purchasing this product, I also purchased a cat furminator. I wish I hadn't bothered with the furminator, as with this tool it is obsolete. I use this on my short haired GSD, 2 long haired cats and 1 short haired cat weekly. Each time it gets loads of undercoat out without damaging the top coat or the guard hairs on my GSD. Simply and easy to use and all my animals are happy to sit with this tool compared to others I have tried.

ive got 2 husky cross collies, ive brushed and brushed and could not stop them from shedding fur every where. The trixie universal comb is amazing,, no more shedding fur . Would highly recommend . Very happy

I had already brushed my one year old Briard thinking I'd done a good job. Then this arrived and I thought I'd give it a try, wow, I got so much more hair off of him that it looked like an ewok has spontaneously exploded in my garden. My dog looks so much better and feels silky smooth. I would definitely recommend it to anybody with a hairy little monster like mine.

I'm a dog walker who walks a very long haired GSD who lives out- not a great combination. He doesn't like grooming as before his coat has been left to long before being tackled & was matted. He tolerates being groomed with this brush as it doesn't pull as much as other brushes & I love it as I'm actually making him more comfortable. It has removed all the dead fluff so his skin can breathe, broken up the matts & is keeping his belly reasonably tidy. Fantastic & effective would highly recommend

We have two dogs, a Shih tzu and a rescue dog which has a westie body and border collie head with a very dense thick coat. He's been a constant night mare and usually ends up with a number one shave all over every 8 weeks. My groomer got sick and Sparky got hairy very quickly, he's not very good with strangers and so taking him to another groomer wasn't fair. I brought this comb and wow.. We can now grow his coat for winter knowing this comb gets through all his layers of fur. Gets all the matts without upsetting him.. Highly recommend this brush and zoo plus only wish they did his dog food on this web site.

My dogs are kept thoroughly groomed, using undercoat rake, slicker, various widths of comb, shedding blade, etc etc...thought there was not much more to come off them. I bought this as I wanted to try something else on my VERY hairy collie-type, but couldn't justify the £30 certain other tools cost. All I can say is, wow...on first using this there was fur everywhere. Would say it's best to make sure the dog is thoroughly brushed/combed out first though, as otherwise this tool can be inclined to cut the topcoat, which isn't what you want. And my housemate has learned not to use it on tails!! :D Very effective as a tool to strip excess hair out of an already well-groomed and knot-free dog though.

I have a English Springer and a Sprocker this item just makes it so easy to keep their coats well groomed, am going to buy another one.

I have a Norwegian and a Persian cat, and this product for dead hair is amazing... used gently... my cats are doing so much better now 💜

I'll put it this way: when I opened it, I was convinced it would be just another brush that wouldn't do anything for my Labrador, but after just two strokes, my jaw dropped. Nothing has ever pulled out so much fur from her before. A whole load of undercoat came out. I'm absolutely delighted, especially since the same rake worked just as well on my other dog's long fur. So, I'm thrilled, the dogs less so, because unfortunately the rake tugs a bit (when there's a lot to pull out from under the top coat), but they've never been so well-groomed.

When the package arrived, I unpacked it straight away and tried it on our German Longhaired dog. I was speechless at how much undercoat and old fur came out. I recommended it immediately and ordered it again.

I bought this comb for our Bobtail. He has very long and thick fur that often gets tangled. This comb is a great helper. It can cut through mats close to the skin and brush the fur with less damage. I tried it on our Husky too, and it worked beautifully.
