Keep Cool Mat - Cat & Dog Cooling Mat

Both mats leaked within a couple of weeks and my wo dogs are not nibblers and have short claws too. Both mats now disposed of as all attempts to stop leaks failed. Not usual standard from Zooplus

Bought two of these to keep my 8 month old kittens cool, they were only used while the kittens were supervised so they did not play with them but both mats were punctured within hours. Unfortunately a complete waste of money for me, but they might be better for dogs if their claws aren't as sharp.

Does its job, it always cools for very very long time. MUST HAVE in a summertime !

Such a great size and seems to keep cool but within two weeks of my GSD using it there were three separate tears in it. I've been taping over them but I've never had one that has been damaged so easily so I would not recommend this one.

It took my cat a little while to try it, but now I can't keep her off it! Good buy for the hottest of UK weather we're having

I get the impression that this is very old stock, it comes folded into 3, stuck together with sticky label, that label is seems to have once been white, but has yellowed where the 'glue' has penetrated the sticker. Also when you take the sticker off to open up the mat, you are left with a VERY sticky mess. After hours of cleaning with products like WD40, you can just about get rid of the sticky mess, but it still leaves a stain. Otherwise its seems a good product, seems to stay cool pretty well

I don't recommend that to cat owner. My cat like to bite and scratch her new item and sadly we have got a lot of little holes that the liquid can comes up after just a few minutes of using.

For hot summer days it's perfect. Dog definitely appreciates it. Only used it a few times and it has worked well, hopefully it will last.

It took Tom a few days of cajoling but he finally worked it out and hasn't been off it since. It's a paws up from him.

The material is too fragile to be used with my cats as they like to stretch their paws when they rest. The water leaked all over the carpet and now they're put off by it. Might be ok if you're able to trim your cats' nails constantly, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

Now seems to be just water inside not cool at all. Waste of money

The product works as expected and is a personal favourite for my Cat, Luna. The only downside was the packaging. Unfortunately they use an extremely sticky tape to tape it together which not only took 20 minutes to clean off, it also stained the product.

Used once and the seams split, liquid came out all over my car carpet.

Had this item less than a week and then became rubbish. As stated, good idea as long as the species using it has no claws. It is better suited for humans than animals. Why would you produce an item that comprises a gel and liquid, then cover it in a plastic covering that is almost likely to be ripped by sharp objects. Maybe if the manufacturer had put some thought into the materials used to construct this product it would be great i.e reinforced plastic. Total waste of money. Avoid at all costs!

Bought this a few months ago but with this warmer weather have just tried it. Not sure if I have one that doesn’t work or if I am not doing something right but it is definitely not cool. Have taken out of my car as my three spaniels are cooler without it!

I have had this item for less than a week and it already has many leaks! If your cat could levitate onto it so it’s paws didn’t touch it it would be very good. Will be chucking this item in the bin. Not suitable for cats that have to step on it due to their claws.

Cats loved cool mat, but it dosent love cats claws! Checked it today and it has 6 holes in it . Not a happy shopper! Does someone test these products before u sell them ?

Bite and chew proof...but not scratch proof. My young cat loved this but it only lasted a day with her claws as the material is quite thin. Know it says to use supervised but impossible to be there all the time! Disappointed as would have been great otherwise

Purchased after a difficult car journey with an overheated cat. Froglet, suspicious of anything new apart from boxes, hasn't been near this yet, but I tried it to see how it works - has done an amazing job of keeping me cool at night through the heatwave. I will let her try it next time we go away in the car; on purchasing I was concerned it was a lot bigger than her carry box, but it folds in half, so that's fine.

👍 The mat cooled for just a few minutes, maybe ten or so. After that, it warmed up a bit from body heat. But we have two to swap out, so the system worked. 👍 Ours didn’t go mouldy. 👍 The dog didn’t chew it :) 👍 The surface didn’t get damaged. BUT 👎 After three years, it stopped working.

Every summer I buy two of them, and this year the sizes were perfect and the price was great. My two little rascals love it.

My fussy kitties took to this mat straight away and seemed happy with it. Now I just hope it lasts a while.

My cats don’t like it at all, no success.

The mat is supposed to be a bit cooler than body temperature and therefore have a pleasant effect. But it isn’t… Not even close, even on bare skin. You also have to remember that cats and dogs have fur. Even if it did what it claims to do, it wouldn’t be effective. I don’t recommend it.

The dog prefers the coolness of the floor.

The cooling mats were immediately accepted by our cats and used a lot at first. However, after just a few hours, the cats managed to break the mats, causing the gel inside to leak out. On the plus side, the cooling effect and the cats’ willingness to use them seem to be good, but unfortunately the mats just aren’t sturdy enough.

My Great Dane (65 kg) loves this mat and, despite heavy use, it’s still completely intact. I’ve had it for a year now and she’s about to enjoy her second summer with it. It seems to cool really well, is super sturdy, easy to clean, simple to store, and doesn’t smell. For me, the purchase was well worth it!

The cooling mat is cool, not cold and not too soft. My dog likes it here on the sofa, bed, in the car, etc.

I've had this (large) cooling mat for my dog (38kg) for over a month now. The product matches the description, it's gel-filled. My dog loves it and with the heatwaves we've had (and the ones still to come), this mat is doing him a world of good.

The material felt great, and you could notice the cooling effect straight away. Unfortunately, it didn’t last 24 hours.

An absolute must-have for the summer! I use the mat on top of the dog bed and my dog loves it.

My dog lies on it but doesn’t get cool at all—in fact, it gets even warmer than the floor.

I’ve been using this product with my dog, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. Although it seemed refreshing at first, the effect lasts for a very short time and, after a while, it actually ends up getting warm. I’ll try to return it, because in practice it doesn’t work as advertised.

My dog loves it, she lay down on it straight away. So it seems to work, but I don’t know for how long yet, as today is the first day. 90 x 140 cm – my German Shepherd is lying on it. I recommend it.
