3-in-1 Scratching Board for Cats

Only just had to replace as it lasted for over 3 years. Secured by tying string around behind the bannister I think the give helps the fastenings stay secure. It's had two cats tearing into it multiple times a day and to make it last longer we turned it upside down and resewed a new toy on the top. When finally it became too worn out we purchased a new one and left it on the floor by the door to put in the bin and they still scratched it to bits. Price per use=excellent value for money.

I wrapped this around our stair post going up - though mounting it was a problem as we didn't want to drill holes into the wooden post, I solved it by getting some leftover yarn and wrapping it around the top and bottom, securing it easily. The cats love it, and used it right away, instead of the expensive carpet on the stairs next to it!

The scratch pad hadn’t even been up 12 hours before the top tabs had been pulled from the main pad. The staples holding them on are not fit for purpose.

As some others have said, the fixing straps are not up to the job. The eyelet came out within 10 minutes and the straps do not give a tight fix to the wall. Solution, cut of the tags and throw the screws, get 15mm longer screws and screw straight through the board. Otherwise it looks good value for money and if it stops our 4 Bengal Persian crosses ripping the wallpaper off its worth it.

Lovely scratch board in a neutral colour..but just to make others aware that the staples attaching the faux fur trim came out - whilst my cat was on it! Apart from that we like it. I'll be taking all the staples out and glueing the trim back on.

I wanted it to hang on the wall corner and it was really easy to attach.my cat weights only 5kg and the straps holding it are already breaking after few days. Great product but maybe it should have metal brackets

I've used double side tape and stuck this to the bottom stair for the time being as Mr P was attacking it. He's scratched at it a few times, but his preference is the cardboard scratcher I got at the same time which he now goes to instead. Still, I'd say this is a success as my carpet isn't now getting torn to shreds

We have plenty of cat trees but Colin, my eldest at 11½, prefers horizontally scratching my carpet even more so now that we've just had new carpets fitted. This has been a big hit, he started using it within a second of me putting it down. It's great value for money, on sale or not! I'll definitely be buying more. The only reason that I gave 4 not 5 is, as said by others, the tabs are a bit flimsy but this wasn't a problem for me as I just secured it by nailing it through the board itself.

Now unlike the other reviews, I cut the loops off and I drilled straight through the sisal and board to attach them to my pews that my Ginge was merrily destroying the corners of... Now they work brilliantly like this, however, the one draw back for me is the fur section - the cats have ripped through this and now they're a mess. if it were sisal all over, there'd be no problem - they'd last a lot longer. Still, they all use them and love them so replacements it is!

We purchased 3 of these for our boys. We have fixed them around the corner edge of a wall and put all 3 going up the wall from to to bottom, this makes 1 huge wall mounted cat scratcher. Our boys love it and scale it from top to bottom numerous times a day. The down side is the fabric fixings.... they came apart after just one day of our boys scaling the scratcher. I dismounted the scratcher from the wall, removed the fabric fixings, drilled new holes and refitted it to the wall with screws.

I bought this to help stop the youngest member of the feline family (just under a year), Oliver, from scratching the carpet upstairs. I was concerned when I first received it because I had forgotten to buy more catnip which I usually spread on a new scratching post or board to encourage them to use it but it turned out not to be an issue. Even though there are three cat trees with scratching posts (that they also use), this one is bar far the favourite - for all three! I moved it downstairs and they all have to have a scratch at it every time they go by. I'm buying another one so I can have one upstairs and one downstairs. :)

pretty much perfect, versatile and space saving compared to a cat tree and price can't be beaten. Has definitely reduced carpet scratching in the upstairs landing area. Agree on the tabs not being strong enough and ditto the elastic attaching the dangly toy; 6 month old Hanni had ripped it off within minutes. Overall great.

We have several of these hanging around the house, and the cats absolutely love them.

The corner shape is convenient; I tried it on the sofa, but in that case you need to add something to secure it. Now I've attached it to the table leg using its straps and my cats really like it. Good durability.

It's used a lot here. I have three of them spread around the house, just on the floor with a bit of anti-slip material underneath.

Started fraying along the edges within 2 weeks, such a shame.

I installed the board on the corner of a wall in the house, and it’s become my cat’s favourite spot for sharpening her claws—she uses it several times a day. Worth every penny!

My cats love it, I’m already on my second one (they used the first one until it was completely worn out). I don’t have a corner so it’s just placed on the floor, but that’s enough for them (and one of them loves playing with the heart).
