About to order a replacement.
We've been really pleased with the Natural Paradise tower we've already got for the kitchen..as our cat loves to be up high with us.
But over time (6 years) the scratching outside has become really tatty, and shreds, as he always scratches in the same place.
Also, as he is getting older we've decided to get XL instead of XXL.. not so high to jump.
Sooo disapointed
I have had 3 of these previously- no complaints. This one is shockingly poor quality. The housing for the screw in the top was unevenly sited so hard to get the screw in and it popped through into the top cabin, making that unusable. There is a small amount of Velcro on the top but the base of the bed does not adhere to it, making the bed unstable. No padding in the base of the bed so the cat would be uncomfortable with the top of the screw poking into him. Can’t return as I broke the box.

Finally a scratch post for our big & small cats
Trying to fund a scraggy post my half maine coon can stretch up as well as my little birman and the two others. With various height dens too.. hoping they prefer it to the Christmas tree !
Comes mostly built just install base plate and top then fix bed intop with presewn hook & loop

An early Christmas present to the 4 of them . I am hoping they show more interest in that than the Christmas tree . We only had Orion last Christmas, now we have 4 so reasonably young and

It's so solid and sturdy not at all wobbly , which is so refreshing! 120 cm not to tall just right and has awide base.
It comes mostly assembled, so big box, they love the box too! But that has to go by Pippins birthday as ... well shhhh.
You just put on the wooden base plate, top and top bed

My furbabies love this so easy to put base on and bed. Much easier than putting together a cat tree. My cats jumped in straight away. Plus bonus it came in a big box which they loved too.

Great for my fussy indoor diva! Absolutely loved it from the minute I took it out the box. I couldn’t even put it where it needed to go or assemble the base and top she was that quick to get in ! Lovely and soft very sturdy and great for her as she likes being in enclosed spaces (wardrobes , shoe cupboards usually ) Great and sturdy product well worth the money :) My cat weighs around 6.5 kg and is 10 years old !

Cats love it but the beds don't last long if you have a cat that stropps, Given the number zooplus stock / sell they really should sell replacements

absolutely fantastic !
i am so happy with this scratch barrel. it arrived very quickly.easy to set up. it has lovely cushions in each level and a comfy bed on the top fixed with velcro so it dosnt move. i have a maine coon. he loves to climb this and play in the levels .it is very sturdy i would definitely recomend this .

One of the Best product I’ve ever purchased
It seems my cats really love it especially the one likes hide more than the other so this is a really hidden cosy spot for her. I highly advise this..

If it's Bengal proof it will undoubtedly withstand any domestic feline's need to scratch and stretch. I ALWAYS recommend my kitten owners get this if they have a small living area or the XL compact scratch tree if they have the extra room. Both more than adequate for an active, intelligent Bengal.

Perfect
My two cats were all over this five minutes after it was out of the box. It is a solid, well made and well worth the money scratching barrel. I have a medium sized cat and a big fluffy 6.5 kilo cat and they fit comfortably in the potholes of this xl size. It is a perfect addition to any home where cats are important part of the family. I love it, my cats love it

My ragdoll couldn't wait
I ordered this yesterday and it arrived today,so very impressed with the service. One of my cats is a large ragdoll so I ordered the XL but it was bigger than I expected. It fits nicely in the corner. The unfinished wood base and top look ok. My 2 moggies haven't shown any interest in it yet but my ragdoll jumped straight into one of the dens as my husband was assembling it. He's also had a scratch at it . I would definitely recommend this item.

Meowtastic!!
Even better than expected. This is the best scratching post I've had in years. All 3 of my very fussy cats use it to sleep in. I worried how durable the 'scratching' areas would be, but they are superb. The top bed and the extra blankets for each level are a lovely addition.
I do agree with other comments that the overall look is slightly let down by the somewhat 'unfinished' appearance of the wooden top and base, it would look better varnished, but that is merely a minor cosmetic observation.

Excellent quality product
Top quality cat bed and scratching area. We have three cats and they love it. Very well constructed with room for all three. It has a small footprint making it ideal for tucking into a small room.

A few years ago, we bought this XXL scratching barrel twice already, and back then they were much heavier, sturdier, and also cheaper!!!
And today I see it's on offer for €107.90, but I paid €134.90—bad luck for me, I ordered it on Sunday, unfortunately too early!! And now it's also lighter and smaller than the old scratching barrel, which honestly makes me really sad!!!

Beautiful retreat and play area
Both of mine love the barrel. The unfinished wooden board takes a bit of getting used to and I find the cushion is a bit loose, but otherwise the barrel is an absolute dream. My two cats love to retreat inside, chase each other up and down the barrel, or sit on top and look out the window. Highly recommended!

Nice-looking scratching post design-wise, but the cushion doesn't stay in place at all. I had to nail it down to the wooden board underneath to stop my cat from falling off... so the price and quality don't really match up.

Nice bin, but...
Years ago, I bought a bin—this exact one—and now I've noticed that the new XXL bin is both smaller and lighter. The height difference is a whole 3 cm, and it's 1 cm narrower. The new bin weighs 15.5 kg, while the old one was 17.8 kg. So, some savings have been made here; don't get me wrong, it's still a nice bin, but it seems to have shrunk a bit over the years ;-)

Great and beautiful scratching barrel... the play balls aren't really necessary. If you include them, they should be attached better and more securely... we took them off because our cat tore one down... unfortunately, they were only fixed with staples, so I'm taking off one star for that.
