There are three dens to hide and relax in, as well as a soft cuddly bed at the top for laying down and enjoying the view. There are also fun play balls hanging in front of the den entrances, a well as a huge scratching area. Almost the entire barrel is covered with sisal mat! Important information: As an added safety measure to support any cat tree as well as to prevent it accidentally tipping, we recommend using a wall bracket to secure the cat tree. Please check the product regularly for any damage, loose joints or screws and replace the item when it becomes defective to avoid any harm coming to your pet.

Tips for fixing to the wall: Check that the condition of the wall in the desired place is suitable before affixing brackets to the wall. Materials for mounting brackets are not included. We recommend that you purchase screws and wall plugs that are specifically designed to suit your wall from a specialised shop. Use special wall plugs and screws for concrete, hollow walls or plasterboard. Check the stability of the cat tree before allowing your cat to use it. Check the stability regularly and tighten the screws when needed.

Please Note: This cat tree includes hanging toys. No toy is completely indestructible. As with any other product, please supervise your pet when playing with these toys. Check the toy regularly for damage, and remove the toy from the tree if it is damaged to avoid potential injury to your pet.

Please note: This product is intended for indoor use only.

Please note: Make sure you attach the fleece side of the bed to the Velcro fastener. Keep in mind that you may need to turn the bed over if the plush is on the bottom.

Perfect cat scratcher/ bed

Arrived in perfect condition, easy to put together (base and top), both my cats love it straight away, using all beds and scratching it from the get go

great sleepy post

I really like this post, I have various traditional large posts which my cats love to scratch, this one is in my living space as it's quite compact and has safe places for my cats to sleep (I have 6 cats), when I fostered kittens they loved this too as it offered nice dark places to sleep and different levels to climb as they got braver.

Poor design

Wood top arrived with some damage to the edge, leaving splinters, so that wasn’t the best start. It just highlighted that a cat jumping up, was going to damage the wood over time, which could potentially leave cat injured. The cushion on top is held on by a few velcro strips only, not very secure at all. For both the damage and the poor design I requested to return the barrel for a refund, which was accepted. I have replaced with the Diogenes cat barrel which is a much better design.

Need replacement baskets

My cats still enjoy this barrel and the main body has stood the test of time however the basket on top has been a problem. It did not stand up to a stropping cat - it very quickly went to a hole. This could be a problem if your cat is likely to chew the filling. Unfortunately Zooplus don't supply replacement baskets and getting one this size is a problem - may be easier for the larger size barrels. It looks like I'm going to have to make a basket...if my sewing skills are up to it!

Sturdy scratch post

Our kitten absolutely loves it and it looks and seems a lot more expensive. It's great being able to wash the bed and inners. I'd definitely recommend.

Sturdy cat scratcher

I was looking for a duel purpose cat scratcher. Firstly I wanted a tall scratching post for my large cat and a bed for my other cat who likes to hide. Downside for me is that my cats think it's furniture so won't use it as a scratching post. It does look very smart. It's sturdy and well made. Mine isn't like the photo as in the top bed is sewn on so can't be washed,shame,and the middle hole is not a bed it's just a hole. I would still recommend this but think the photos need updating.

Smart looking and very sturdy

Bought this product for my 15 week old ragdoll kitten as I wanted something that would still be appropriate as he grows. I was very impressed with this as it looks very smart and not out of place in a sitting room. The three tiers of openings are very roomy (at the moment he looks lost inside them), and he is now able to climb onto the top and loves to snooze on it. Excellent product which will be moved next to the patio doors for some summer bird watching in a few months.
