Smilla Kitten Poultry

I initially bought a 3kg pack to see how my 6 cats got on. All seemed good and bowls were empty. The poo smell is horrendous. I bought the 2x10kg pack as it's such good value, worth the smell ha ha! Anyway, I started to notice that my big boy was losing a significant amount of weight. He is a dustbin and will eat anything. I realised he wasn't eating at all. Of course you start thinking the worst as he's 12! Back to Royal Canin I'm afraid

We bought 2 big bags, and we quickly found out that we won't be buying anymore food from another brand. It's the only food my cats don't get tired of. They prefer this to pure meat actually!

Having 5 cats. Buying royal canin dry food was expensive. Switched to smilla, my cats loved it. An it works out very cheap. Will be buying again

My cats were originally fed on Royal canin second stage kitten, but it was expensive when you have a lot of cats. So I stumbled across Smilla. I was sceptical to start off but as soon as I opened the pack they went mad! Over it. They love the hearties and the dry food. So I highly recommend it. Very happy cat 😻Very happy pocket/owner 🤗

I run a rescue & have tried loads of various foods including supermarket & hypo allergenic foods, we only fed kitten dry food 2 all r cats, we have 21 cats in at the moment & they love this food, go mental when delivery comes, had premature litters last year which only started 2 gain weight once on this, after trying more expensive other brand kitten foods, good ingredients 4 a good price!!

I work almost full time as a cat sitter so I've become a bit of a pro on the various cat litter hells produced by various foods. I really like the ingredients of this food but I notice that cats don't eat it with pleasure. And certainly I dont clean out the poo it produces with any pleasure. It is VERY smelly, and creates poos that stink out the whole house. Be nice if they could add a neutralising ingredient as otherwise the ingredients are impeccable... Unlike the poos.

My ragdoll kittens love it however when they break wind it sinks! Lol

i have 4 cats and all of them didn't eat a single bit of this dry food.

For some reason none of my cats liked this. Also, it smelled quite strong.

i breed bengals and none of them like this the kittens dont and my 4 adult cats dont and it has given my female bengal the runs not good there bowls are always full had to go back to my iams kitten they love this always a emty bowl another good one is pro plan junior. thought i would give this one a try something different for the cats to try but wont be doing that again

My 4 kittens are aprox 9 week old, they were having problems with runny poop, they had been wormed, had antibiotics and some paste to sooth ther gut all ofvwhic had no effect. They had been eating just wet food ( animonda carny). After doing some research i fould some info the bucked the trend saying cereals are all bad for kiitys as they cant digest them and so having tried varios other dry food which they turned their noses up at. I bit the biscuit and bought smilla due to the meat/maize/rice/yucca ingtedients. Since mixing this with their wet food, the runny poop has nearly all cleared up after just a couple of days. I soak them in water (this softens them and increases there wayer intake) and mix with the wet food and they cant get enough, price per kilo also makes these cheaper than even tescos own kibble. Go with your gut, if your feeding a grain free wet food i think theses are really good along side the wet. If your just going to feed dry food i would consider buying a brand thats grain free and feeding that mixed smilla and some other higher quality kibble.

My new maine coon cross wallace loves this kitten food, its small kibble, so easily eaten and digested, i would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quality alternative for royal canin, no problems when switching to this food which is always a bonus to.

My two juvenile cats simply love this food. They enjoy the crunchiness and taste and sometimes will rather eat this than their twice daily pouched wet food. I also scatter it around as treats!

They don't really eat it much.

I've been buying this dry food for my cat for several years now. It's excellent—I've tried different ones, but this is the one my cat likes the most.

My kitten vomited and got diarrhoea and gas in its stomach, the poo smelled absolutely awful because of the food.

My cat won't eat it, the pills are very small.

Our kittens absolutely love these Smilla kitten kibbles, and since we breed kittens, every new owner gets a 1 kg bag to take home when their kitten moves in. Both we and the kittens are super happy with them and wholeheartedly recommend this brand.

My cat eats them very happily. I bought them by chance, inspired by other Smilla products I’ve got in the past for my other cats. The kibbles are small, just the right size for kittens.

Unfortunately, my senior cat, who gets kitten dry food because of the small kibble size, doesn't really like this food. He only eats it when he has to and if I mix in other dry food. However, I do think the ingredients and the price are good.

The cats really love it, they eat it regardless of their age, and the size of the kibble is just right too.

My tomcats liked it, but after a while they get bored and I have to give them something else.
