Good but getting pricey
I have both of my male cats on this RC dry food, which they love. It helps or even prevents urine infections that male cats are prone to. The only problem is that the price increases every few months. Not very long ago this bag was £11.99

Very good food, but...
I had to switch to Urinary because one of my two had high inflammation levels in the bladder, along with crystals in the urine. Since both have been eating this food (now more as a preventative measure), everything is back to perfect condition. Plus, their fur has become super shiny and soft. However, my two would only eat this food if they were allowed to ;)
Points deducted for the non-resealable bag (9 kg).

Great for struvite crystal problems
My two maine coons have been on this diet for 4 years after my female developed struvite crystal problems and had to have surgery. The vet advised to go onto this diet.
Although very pricey we havent we stuck to it and never had issues again since. Cats are now over 10 years old.

Was accepted immediately without any issues,...
But it doesn't fill them up as much as "normal" dry food.
Struvite crystals were found in my cat's bladder, and this was one of the foods recommended to me by the vet. It was accepted and eaten without much adjustment or turning up their nose.

New formula is well tolerated, but it doesn't keep you full for as long.
My tomcat has FLUTD, and he's doing well with the RC Urinary LP 34.
Since I started feeding him the new formula, I feel like the food doesn't fill him up as much anymore.
As the gentleman is a bit on the chubby side, he gets 30 g twice a day.
Now he’s starting to demand food quite aggressively when I come home from work in the afternoon. Digestively, there’s no difference compared to the old food.

He liked it.
My cat's struvite crystals increased on this, after having the wet variant for weeks. We realised he wasn't drinking enough, having got used to the high water content of the wet food. He liked the taste and ate it all happily, so after 12 weeks of the high dilution S/O variant I am confident that he will do better on this when we try again, and will then be on it for life. Royal Canin have been very helpful and would recommend this food for struvite crystal dissolution.
