My cat liked the square biscuits

Why change this to new tiny biscuits? They should have just brought out a new product line rather than get rid of the preferred square biscuits. Disappointing.

Disappointed with new kibble

Im sad they decided to make new ones hard to bite my cats are advanced age and have missing teeth so I will have to soak these biscuits with broth or water there’s no way they can eat these without swallowing whole which isn’t safe causes vomiting I not sure why people claiming they are oily but the fat content seems low so maybe it’s the omega 3 oils they coated with for their joints

Cats don’t like it.

They lived the old square 12+ biscuits but won’t eat these 11+. Very annoying and expensive waste of money.

Unhappy with new food.

My cat's LOVED the old pillow-style 12+Ageing biscuits, but they will not eat this supposed substitute. I am sad to say I will not be buying any more, so loss of revenue for Royal Canin and Zooplus, who were my main supplier. Very disappointed owner (and cats).

Good for my cat

My 13 year old cat was fed on the previous version and has transitioned well to the new version. Her coat is good and poos are normal. She is fed 2 measured meals a day and is always waiting for eat to go down then usually clears the bowl. No issues with the switch here. She does have good teeth so no issues with the hardness. I wonder if it only gets 2 stars because the majority of reviews are from people who’s cats didn’t do so well with the new recipe.

change of shape and recipe no good

Not as aromatic and soft as the previous recipe was, must say we liked previous one 1000% better, way waaaaay better, these are way harder to much on :( not a fan, please bring the old recipe back including its texture, shape and aroma :) giving 3 starts only because my cat eats it

Why change a cat kibble staple!?

My assortment of Maine Coons and elderly rescue mogs all loved the original Squares and I bought it in bulk. I have tried the so called replacement variants ( 11 , 13, 15 plus types) but it has ended up going out for the hedgehogs. My older MC has to be tempted with Dreamies: really so disappointed that Royal Canin made this change. From the number of reviews, it would seem the real life pet owners agree with me. Fingers crossed we can go back in time,

My cat seems to like it

My cat wasn’t keen on the sterilised version of the 11 plus, but happy with this one. No issues with changing food and he seems well on it.

too hard for aged cats

Like many of the other reviewers we had been using the 12 plus square soft chewy food for ages and then all of a sudden they were no longer available we tried our first bag of this but the biscuits are too hard and I'm desperately looking for an alternative I'm really disappointed that royal canin change the recipe without any advanced notice and we won't be buying again.

Weird poo now

My old boy loved the previous version (12+) but this seems to be harder on his teeth, there are always broken bits in the bottom of his bowl which have clearly fallen back out of his mouth! He had normal poo before the change but now he's farting when he goes and it's the same shape as the poo emoji, which makes me think it's not very good for his stomach or there's less fiber in it or something. Sad that they had to change the product when it was already so great.

Cats don't enjoy this - too hard to eat if you have very few teeth

Cats used to love the 12+ version. If you only have 5 teeth, it's easier to pick up plus the soft centre made it easier to mash up with gums. These new biscuits are just normal size, a bit smaller even. Extra vomiting - maybe swallowing biscuits whole now? Changed to Outdoor Active 7+. I'm concerned for the future - there used to be a marked improvement to my previous cats arthritis, when eating 12+ version. There should be more recipes in the large soft centre format, not fewer.

Bring back the 12+ square biscuits!

My 3 cats all LOVED the old version of these biscuits- the square ones with the soft centre. The high price point was justified for those biscuits, as no other brand was making that type with a filling. Royal Canin has cheaped out and made a generic product, that my cats no longer are interested in. I will no longer be purchasing. Why fix something that isn’t broken?! BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION

New recipe does not agree!

Used to buy Ageing 12+. This new recipe does not agree! Our cat was sick the day after having for the first time. Tried him again on it a couple more times but same issue. Money I could not really afford to waste! If you had the 12+ before I would suggest trying a small pack first to see if it agrees with your cat. I now need to spend time & money trying out out other brands. Not a problem with Zooplus who have always been good on price and efficient. More the issue with RC new Aging formula.

11+ not good

Thought I'd found a great replacement when my 12yr old went off the 'regular fit' - she liked the 12+ squares with the soft centre straight away. Then they disappeared and were relaced with these 11+ ones - she'll nibble a few and then wander off - not impressed! Why the change?

New recipe makes my cat sick

Since they changed the recipe it’s not making my cat sick. I won’t be buying again, this stuff is not cheap. Why do they mess with things knowing how sensitive cats stomachs are!

My cats love it

In particular my eldest one seems to eat more now than when I had a different brand of dry food.

Changed recipe ? Cats don't like it !

How could Royal Canin have changed the recipe of the 12+Ageing biscuits ! My cats loved the square biscuits more than any others and now they just walk away from these new ones. What a shame ! I hope that Zooplus will pass on it's customers' unhappiness. Both companies will lose revenue and Royal Canin will have lost lots of customers ! Very disappointing.

New recipe - very frustrated they have replaced the 12 plus

My cat loved the old version with the larger biscuit and soft center - she wont touch the new recipe and I'm struggling to get her to eat anything else. I feel it's a shame Royal Canin changed the product. Obviously this is no reflection on Zooplus.

Better for older cats

Our cats have a massive variety of cat biscuits to choose from, we like to give them options as they get bored of 1 type of biscuit. All 7 of our cats have enjoyed these. They are smaller than the old one but for old cats that's better, easier to digest.

Very poor

Biscuits are tiny. Why change the previous version? Cat isn’t interested in these now. Extremely disappointing. Such a waste of money.

Makes my cat sick

My cat was used to the stuffed kibbles for senior cats from Royal Canin, which he loved. Since they stopped making them, we've been searching for alternatives. In any case, it won't be these kibbles, as they give him diarrhoea. We've tried several, and as soon as she eats them again, it starts all over again 🫤

Excellent

Very good product, both in terms of taste (my sweet old lady goes crazy for it!!!) and because it's very easy to digest. My kitty has come back to life, she has much more energy and her coat has also improved. I've been using these for months now and she still eats them with pleasure, which is quite unusual for her as she always wants to change.

Repetitive and Dishonest Reviews

Honestly, my cat used to devour the previous version (rectangular croquettes), but with this new version he backs off and won’t eat them.

Excellent kibble for our ageing cat

Used to Royal Canin kibbles for sterilised cats, as long as she ate them all at once, Friza being a bit of a little glutton, it was never an issue… Then, Friza started throwing up whole kibbles and wouldn’t eat them again. The problem was simple: My little Friza, my “baby”, is 15 years old, whether I like it or not! I immediately found some “senior cat +11” kibbles that my kitty tried and took to straight away, without vomiting! They’re smaller and easier to digest!

Adopted straight away! A must for making the switch

Very appetising kibble, my 11-year-old cat took to them straight away! To be safe, I tried the 400g bag before going for the 4kg size. I switched from Friskies to Royal Canin 11+, and it really does require a proper gradual transition (mixing the new food with the old over 10-15 days). Many people mention diarrhoea, but by taking it slow, her digestion handled the change perfectly with no problems. Excellent quality, very easy to digest, I recommend 100%!

Great high-quality dry food

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Our Mila tolerated the food very well. It's tailored to her age and she really enjoyed eating it. For us, it's an absolutely great food for senior cats.

Maybe even a bit too tasty!?

After years of feeding my greedy guts RC (Appetizer Control), I switched to this senior food. Like with almost every RC product, he nearly attacked his bowl. No suspicious sniffing or hesitation, just proper munching, and because the kibble is a bit smaller, his bowl was empty in no time. The first few days drove me mad—he kept nagging for food and distractions didn’t really help. But thankfully, he got used to it and he’s doing really well on it now. Top quality food.

Very good food for senior cats

My senior Maine Coon cat has a food allergy. So I was a bit sceptical when Royal Canin changed their senior food to new varieties. I tried the new 11+ variety and was happy with it. My cat tolerated it very well and I can definitely recommend it.

Senior Dry Food

The Senior Food 11 is well accepted, but my cats loved the previous version in cushion form, Senior AGEING, much more. They were absolutely crazy about it – it was always the first thing they picked out of the bowl. It's such a shame that it's no longer available. Why can't tried and tested things just be kept?

Great product that my picky cat devoured

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Great product that helps improve the texture of my cat’s coat and meets his needs. He took to them straight away! Your cat will take to them easily too!

My cat loved these kibbles

My cat loved this product. He’s got his energy and vitality back. The packaging is a handy size and keeps the kibble nice and crunchy. The price is quite reasonable too.

Perfect croquettes

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] My cat was delighted, the kibble size is just right. The taste is perfect, and the bag closes very well. As for digestion, it’s perfect. Good digestion.

Delicious!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Our 13+ year old Persian gentleman was very pleased with the consistency, and apparently the ingredients were really tasty! It looked nice and creamy, and the speed at which it was eaten, along with the loud smacking sounds, said it all!!! Nicely packed in small sachets, which makes storage easy – this is a real winner!

Super

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Great product, I noticed an improvement with my cats’ regurgitation, so there are fewer hairballs and their fur is softer. As for the kibble itself, they loved that it’s a bit moist and thicker, to the point that they abandoned their usual food for this one. I didn’t see any weight loss during the transition, nor any urinary issues—quite the opposite, actually.

Adopted, satisfied

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I finally got my bag of cat food, but with the postal strike in Belgium, it took a while to arrive. I let my cat try it for two weeks. Conclusion: He loved it straight away! He’s usually quite picky with his food, but this time he didn’t hesitate at all. When you open the bag, you can really tell the food is healthy—it has a genuine smell, nothing artificial or off-putting. It’s a hit!

No comparison with the 12+

My cats only eat the new product reluctantly; it stays in their bowls much longer, completely unlike the 12+—I could barely keep up with refilling that one. It would be great if the 12+ was available again.

Excellent

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] My senior cat really enjoys these Royal Canin Ageing 11+ kibbles. They smell appetising and are easy to chew. Since I started using them, my cat has kept a good appetite and seems to be in good shape. The packaging is practical and resealable. The product is easy to find in shops or online. A good diet suited for older cats.

Super excited

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] It didn’t last long. The small pieces were gone quickly. Visually and in terms of ingredients, it’s great, also good for digestion. My tomcat has rarely been this happy with dry food.

Simply inedible, say my cats

This is supposed to be an improved version of Royal Canin Ageing 12+. It seems they’ve changed the recipe and the type of kibble, probably to cut production costs. My cats won’t eat it, not even when mixed with other dry food. I just don’t understand why they always have to change something that works well. When cats have been eating the same food for years and suddenly it’s no longer available, it’s simply irresponsible and incomprehensible. I can’t buy Royal Canin anymore.

Poor—nothing improved, just more cutbacks!

This is supposed to be a revised product of Royal Canin Ageing 12+. This dry food is just terrible now. The cats won’t eat it. The previous version was simply great—my cats loved it. Now I have to look for a new replacement product. I won’t be buying this again. Had to throw it away. “Revised and improved recipe” here just means cheaper production. If you’d just made the old one more expensive, I would still have bought it.
