Purizon Kitten Chicken & Fish - Grain-Free

My breeder used this and it looked great but we have now had two bags and each one was riddled with mould ( sadly only noticed after 6/7 uses). I stored the bag clipped shut in a cold pantry. Such a waste of money

Having not heard of this brand before, I first ordered the smallest size. I needn’t have bothered, as my kitten absolutely loves this, now turning her nose up at any other option. Her coat has also become more glossy since changing to this product. The kibble size is small, but that’s definitely an advantage if your kitten doesn’t like the density of the larger size kibble pieces.

Soon after getting him I realised I should change both the dry & wet food to a no grain/no added sugars diet. After research decided on Purizon. Great value & my little furry man accepted it straight away and ate it more enthusiastically than the not so good stuff. It smells good and improved poop smell! After only a few days I noticed fur became glossier. For older kittens though may be best to move to normal Purizon- the pieces are very small with this so may encourage just gulping down.

My kitty just simply leaves empty bowl.. Bowl that usually should keep her good at least half day, maybe she consider this tiny kibble is treat 🤔😂

Kept our Bengal kitten on this food as advised by the breeder, due to the high protein content. Never any waste, he always eats it all and is thriving on it. Glossy coat, clean teeth and extremely healthy. Only downside is the strong smell of the food resulting in very stinky poo. A small price to pay in comparison to the overall health benefits. Reasonable price. Really can't fault this food atall.

Bought small bag to try with our 16 week Maine Coon aiming for high quality / high meat content. This seems to tick all the boxes but the kibbles are tiny; this is obviously for kittens but it’s a much smaller dry food than a lot of others, my boy just hoovers them up like peanuts (no chewing at all) so I probably won’t buy anymore on that basis.

Smell really strange my girl refused to eat any 😂

I bought 6 kg(Stupid me). My 4 m. kitten has stomach problems with this cat food. Diarrhea, a lot of gas, bloating.

Having tried multiple wet and dry kitten foods, this is the one they love. They queue up for more, whereas they wouldn't touch other high protein/no grain options like Applaws for some reason. They have shiny coats and lots of energy, so I think all round a great option!

My cats usually turn their food up at high content meat/grain free dry such as Applaws/Orijen but Purizon is scoffed down in seconds. All of my adult cats steal the kitten's food because they prefer it to theirs so I'm now having to buy kitten food for 9 year olds!! EXCELLENT product all round.

My kitten currently eats Applaws kitten food which he really likes but I always like to test out new foods since he likes some variety. As soon as I put this food down he gobbled it up. Now he's taken to biting at and trying to rip open the bag if his bowl is empty. He's never done this with his Applaws food! Love that it's grain free since he has a sensistive stomach to grains, and has such a high protein content and good ingredients.

i used to have several cats in my country, and now i own two cats. no matter what types of cat or where he was born, they all need to be kindly treated. food is a vital par for them to consume therefore the dry food or wet food should be safe, easy to eat and digest.an i think this purizon are naturally made for cats as their food components are very science-balanced. the five major components are meat (chicken) and potato. it also contains vegetables and fruits like orange. recommended for all

This dry food has very tiny and soft kibbles, my kitten is able to eat them very easy. Her perivous owner used to feed her Whiskers so I wasn't quite sure if she will accept this but she did and eats happily. No running tummy and no leftovers.

The kibble is tiny which makes my kitten easy to eat. It is grain-free and cheap! Previous owner fed her whiskers which I personally don't like, wasn't quite sure how she will react to this food but she loves it! She takes on with no doubt. Will continue to buy.

I only bought 2 small bags of this food to try for my own picky kitties as I also bought two other brands to try them on as well. First off I would like to state I gave them each a few pieces of this food on it's own and the gobbled it down. When mixed with their old food they picked out the new food and left the old food and would not eat it. I kept mixing some of the new with the old but after 2 days of that they refused to eat so I just gave them this brand stright up and they gobbled it down. I only have a little left but if they are that taken with the food chances are I'll be buying more really soon!

I chose it because of its ingredients, and my puppy eats it really well, but removing the zip from the packaging is a step backwards. The food stays much fresher with a good seal on the bag, and they've removed it from the adult range too. For me, it's a big inconvenience having to look for different storage options instead of using the original packaging. I've bought it again, but I'll look at other options for my next purchase.

The product is really good, but Dimas isn’t having any of it—he won’t touch wet food, not even from his favourite brand. He only eats Purizon Kitten dry food and I wanted to try the wet one, but it hasn’t been very successful. Still, I’ll keep trying.

My two kittens love these kibbles, but after switching from the Purina One they used to have, they've been having gas and really smelly poos! It's pretty unbearable—I have to change the litter all the time and keep the house aired out constantly. Their poos are well-formed, but the smell is just too much...

None of the three cats from different homes liked it.

Purizon Kitten Chicken and Fish used to be a good food before they changed the recipe. Previously, it had 19.8% carbohydrates, now it's 28.9%! When I asked for a statement, I received a standard reply. When I followed up and asked if someone could please explain why fresh meat and chicken proteins were removed and replaced with carbohydrates that cats can't digest, like peas and potatoes, I unfortunately didn't get any further response.

They're different, dry, and even the shape is different. It's a shame, we don't like these.

The kitten kibble smells (stinks!) much worse now. The cats aren’t really into it anymore either. The taste/smell seems to be in some sort of coating on the kibble now instead of mixed through? The pieces are too small to really see, but with the adult kibble it’s definitely the case, and that also stinks a lot more. The cats are much less enthusiastic about it, so I guess I’ll have to look for another brand again… Such a pity!

My cat is five months old and she eats this kibble with no problem, she likes it. The pieces are tiny, perfect for her little teeth. I got it because it was recommended by @conmisbigotes, as well as the tins. Everything has good ingredients. 🐺

for the recipe change of CAT FOOD! As a cat food manufacturer/distributor, it should be obvious that cats are VERY sensitive to changes in their food/recipe – what’s the point of this? My tomcat eats this as his only food and has always absolutely loved it. I honestly thought it was just new packaging design; but I was surprised when my cat suddenly didn’t want to eat it anymore... In the end, it’s all just about profit!

My cat ate this for 4 years, but completely stopped after the ingredients were changed and switched to dry food instead. Why were the ingredients changed?

All the voices here against the new recipe should really make the manufacturer think!!!!!! I can't even say if my cats would tolerate it: they simply won't eat it anymore.....

I have 11 cats, 9 of which eat wet food, and some of them are really fussy, but they licked their plates clean.

I’ve been buying this cat food for over 10 years. It saved my cat’s life—she’s allergic to grains—and ever since they changed the packaging (and also the size of the kibble), she sometimes gets diarrhoea like she did before we started using it. I suspect they’ve lowered the quality, which is such a shame… it’s been so many years and now I have to switch, and it’s so hard to find something else.

These are really high-quality kibbles and just perfect for my grown-up kittens. I wanted to start giving them different ones for neutered cats, but they weren’t as good, so now I’ve ordered Purizon ones for neutered cats as well. We’ll see how those go... For now, though, I’m still giving them these kitten ones, and they love them even soaked in water. For me, it’s brilliant.

Purizon foods used to be my cats’ favourites, especially the fish one. After the recipe changed, my cats barely touch it, and on top of that, one of them developed a terrible skin allergy that we just can’t get rid of. These foods definitely won’t end up in my basket ever again 😢

They’ve changed it, they don’t want it anymore and on top of that, the quality has gone down.

The quality of all Purizon dry foods has gotten worse now, at least the sterilised ones that I use. They’ve taken out the meat or fish protein and put in peas as filler. Only one of my cats can eat it, the one who’s constipated, because the other one gets diarrhoea, I suppose because of the peas. It’s a real shame, it used to be a brand with great quality for the price, but I see this is happening with loads of other brands too, adding peas because they’re obviously cheaper.
