Purizon Large Adult Chicken & Fish - Grain-Free

Kibble more than doubled in size and hard. My 2 cats struggle with this now. Will not buy again

The quality of all Purizon dry foods has gotten worse now, at least the sterilised ones that I use. They’ve taken out the meat or fish protein and put in peas as filler. Only one of my cats can eat it, the one who’s constipated, because the other one gets diarrhoea, I suppose because of the peas. It’s a real shame, it used to be a brand with great quality for the price, but I see this is happening with loads of other brands too, adding peas because they’re obviously cheaper.

I’ve been buying this variety for over 10 years and the cats have always eaten it. Now, with the new recipe, they’re having gastrointestinal issues.

My two Maine Coons always ate these kibbles without any problems. Now the recipe has changed and one has diarrhoea while the other is pulling out its fur. So now I'm looking for another large kibble.

We always buy the 6.5 kg bulk pack of dry food for our cats. Unfortunately, the zip closure was removed with the new design, so the food can’t be resealed anymore. That’s really inconvenient with such a big pack, as the food doesn’t stay fresh. The dry food itself is still top quality!

For 5 years I have been feeding these kibbles to my European Shorthair. Because he used to swallow the 'regular' size kibbles whole, these "large" kibbles were really a solution, as they 'forced' him to chew properly. However, the size of the kibble has recently been reduced so much that he now swallows them whole again, without chewing. So, less work for his jaws and teeth, and bad breath because larger pieces of kibble have to be digested in his stomach.

This product is going downhill. I've been buying this for my Ragdolls for years. But they keep changing the recipe (read: cheaper ingredients). And now, to top it all off, the resealable strip has disappeared from the 6.5 kg bag. The kibble dries out before I can finish the bag.
