Purizon Original Lamb with Fish - Grain-Free

I am not happy with this new recipe at all. Quality getting worse for the same price. And what's upp with the zipper? We have this food since 7 years...Unaccaptable.

New recipe, new packaging, cat hates the new recipe and I hate the new packaging, there's no way to keep it fresh. For a 6.5 kilo bag, I want to seal it. It's not the cheapest food either and now I have to waste 6.5kg as my cat won't eat it, having been a fan for the past few years - well done Purizon for ruining your recipe!

been shopping here for well over 10 years mostly for purizon dry cat food chicken n fish 6.5 but with you altering the zipper the product doesn't stay fresh as well. if this doesn't change i no longer need to shop here.

This food was brilliant before they changed, it soaked well for kittens now it turns into what looks like diarrhoea water and doesn’t soak at all, cats also hate it. Why change something that was ok? I’ve now got to find a new cat food

Our cats have been eating this food for 6 years. Unfortunately, the recipe was changed and that caused some problems. Sadly, we only found out after some time that it had changed. Both cats had a bit of diarrhoea at first, which settled after they got used to it. However, the food is now smaller and a bit fattier. One cat unfortunately gained a lot of weight after the recipe change. We are totally disappointed with Purizon and have switched to another brand.

This food used to be one of the best on the market until Purizon changed its formula. My cats loved this food, but after the change, unfortunately, one of my ragdoll cats developed inflammation of the intestines and pancreas. I found a replacement with Farmina, but it's not eaten as eagerly as Purizon was before the change. I do not recommend it!

Unfortunately, after reading the reviews, I'm afraid to order this food for my cat, who has been eating it for years… Please bring back the old formula, because it's clear you've lost your loyal customers.

Today I discovered that my entire order was completely wrong! The issue concerns PURIZON dry food. Instead of cat food, I was sent dog food. I didn’t notice straight away because the packaging is almost identical—they were put away in the cupboard and my cats were still eating from the old supply. I REALLY CAN’T BE BOTHERED TO SEND ALL THIS BACK NOW BECAUSE THE PARCEL WEIGHED 15 KG, and I live on the 3rd floor and already struggled carrying it up once. In any case, I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

My cat has always only eaten Purizon lamb and fish flavour dry food, despite many attempts to get her to try wet food—she never even wanted to taste any. After the drastic change in the food's recipe, she refuses to eat it and hasn't eaten anything for three days now.

My cat only tolerates this food, but since the formula changed, he’s been eating noticeably less. His poos are loose and smell much worse. The food itself stinks so much that I had to move the bowls somewhere else. It’s a nightmare!

Purizon had been our neutered BSH senior’s favourite for many years. After the recipe changed, we can no longer justify feeding it. If quality and digestibility are right, cat owners will accept a price increase. Apparently, it wasn’t considered that the “end customer” is the cat. Especially as they get older, food also affects their nutrient intake, wellbeing, and health values. We have switched brands.

Why change a product that worked so well for years…? Especially such a high-quality food that even picky cats loved to eat. I just don’t get it :(

New recipe for this product without any warning My cat, who previously could only tolerate these kibbles, now vomits them and won’t eat them anymore. I’ve been ordering exclusively from this site for 5 years and I’m immensely disappointed—it’s over, I won’t be ordering again!

I've been buying this food for the past 5 years, my cats love it, but you just can't compare it to what it used to be. The meat has basically disappeared from the ingredients, those 30% isolated proteins come from who knows what kind of waste, 14% fresh meat in the dehydrated mix is actually only about 4% of the total mass, herring meat is completely gone, just like the eggs. For this price, buying peas (which weren't there before) and potato (which replaced sweet potato) just doesn't make sense anymore, we're switching to Farmina (unfortunately, it's not available here). A textbook example of shrinkflation, confirmed by the packaging seal.

I have been feeding this food to both my cats for many years. The formula was changed last year... the good meat has been reduced a lot overall, and it’s now pumped full of cheap vegetable fats. It’s a shame that after so many years they’ve changed the recipe just to make more money. My tomcat has now lost a lot of weight and needs new food. I hope Purizon loses a lot of customers and money!

My cats only get dry food occasionally, but when they did, it was always this one—before they changed the recipe. After the change, one of my cats started getting diarrhoea, so the food ended up in the bin. We really miss the old formula, because not only did they love the taste, but they tolerated it well. It was a lifesaver for us when I had longer shifts and they got their meals from the automatic feeder.

Both cats have had diarrhoea since I started feeding them from the new bags... The tomcat only ate Purizon and tolerated it well. Great... What am I supposed to do now? I tried so many things and that's the only food he'll eat. And of course, they've changed the closure as well. Brilliant, now I'm stuck with two types, 6.5 kg each...

After searching for ages, I finally found the right food for my 3 cats: one has a chicken allergy, one is picky, and one has sensitive intestines. But after the “improved recipe”, there’s been a lot more vomiting and diarrhoea. My cat has also lost weight. It smells worse and feels greasier. One bag is also different from the other in terms of smell and greasiness. Not happy with it at all!

I am very upset about the new recipe! My cats have happily eaten this food for years, but now they barely touch it. The quality seems noticeably worse. I agree with all the negative reviews—many people are saying exactly the same thing. Now I have to find a new, high-quality food, which is notoriously difficult with cats. I hope Zooplus passes on all this feedback to the manufacturer.

Since 2018, my cats have been eating Purizon and everything was great. But ever since the "new recipe" came out, they hardly touch any Purizon products anymore. I ordered sample sizes of the "improved" and new varieties – only the Lamb with Fish is still somewhat acceptable. And on top of that, the food has become even lower in quality. We are very disappointed and now looking for a high-quality alternative that our cats will actually like. Hopefully zooplus will pass on the customer feedback!
