Hill's Prescription Diet Feline t/d Dental Care - Chicken

I got a sample from the vets, as my newly adopted cat has very bad tartar, and gingivitis. and they absolutely loved the biscuits. I purchased this, and it is unfortunately it's nothing like the biscuits I got from the vet. Smell is very different, and biscuits much larger, and neither cat would touch it. I will be giving it to the local cat rescue.

My vet advised me to give this food to my cat to reduce his plaque formation. My cat loved it but he started having diarrhea so I had to change it for sensitive dry food. His diarrhea has stopped now but he still has flatulence after a month.

I was advised by my vet to use this food for one of my cats who had some plaque. I trusted them and this product, only to be told at the next vet check that his teeth were much worse. I have now moved to grain free food and dental gel and had much better results.

I've bought recently this dental dry food for 2 of my cats. Both of them don't like it. It's not as bad as Hills Science Chicken for Mature Sterilised Adult. As this food both cats are avoiding at all costs. This dental bites are quite big so my 15 years old cat doesn't want to take at all. Younger cat 11 year old one does crunch them unhappily but only to avoid eating the other crunchies: tiny bits of dry food for mature cat.15kg of food and cats are preferring to stay hungry. Disaster!

My cats teeth got worse on this diet. He enjoyed the biscuits but his tartar and gum inflammation got much worse. Thankfully I was keeping an eye on it and have managed to reverse the build up with regular brushing. Do not trust that these biscuits are doing the job!

Simply no, all three cats got diarrhoea, you don’t need to explain that the food’s ingredients are really bad. I was only supposed to give it because of their teeth. Straight in the bin!
