We brought this food for our cats we have had the older style packaging applause biscuits before and they loved them but this new packaging one none of my three cats have liked they must have changed something. Safe to say we won't be buying anymore of them.

Purchased a small bag of this out of necessity when the usual brand wasn’t available in my local pet shop. However, I can barely keep the bowls filled because my 3 love it so much. The dregs of the old brand were completely ignored and so we’ve made a full switch. In terms of purchasing from Zoopla, it’s much more cost effective and delivery was pretty prompt so I’ll be back for more

Bought a small bag to try out and both cats scoffed it! So, I bought a 2kg bag but sadly, for some reason the kibbles are larger and the cats won't eat it. I've never come across anything like this before. I even bought another small bag and sure enough, smaller kibbles and happy cats. Why change the kibble size with the larger packs? I've completely wasted my money on the big bag 😕

I got a trial packet with my reqrds points. It looks like rabbit poo, and 2 out of 2 cats said that they had no intention of eating ANY of it! Very surprising, so presumably low grade ingredients.

Bought it recently to try it, as friend recommended, my cats didn't like it, maybe taste or maybe chunky peaces

My cat absolutely loves it! We tried many other options, but this is hers go to. Very happy with the quality of the kibble. My cats fur is shiny, teeth healthy, she's active and happy!

my Turkish Angora & I have waited a long time for Applaws Duck & chicken kibble to come back on market after it being responsible for illness & death of cats summer 2021 however, makes me wonder whether its old stock as the end date is july 2023... usually has 2-3 years expiry date..

I was really apprehensive about starting on this food seeing all the reviews about allergic reactions and other negatives, but I was looking for dry food with a high meat content. I started my cat out on the sample bag and then advanced her to a big bag of food and it's been absolutely fine. Her coat is beautifully shiny and she seems really healthy. Definitely recommend :)

My cat clearly prefers this food over all others. I bought several bags of Thrive knowing it's probably the very best on the market, but he only reluctantly eats it. He usually sniffs it and walks always and I have that massive guilt cat owners know only too well. A bowl of Applaws Chicken & Duck however and he's all over it. Like most cats, he doesn't overeat and will always leave some in his bowl, but he definitely prefers Applaws. I like to see him enjoying his food. Who doesn't!

I've been buying Applaws Dry Chicken & Duck for over 1 year and the cats have eaten it without issue before. The latest bag I opened has not gone down well, and actually 1 cat threw them back up. I'm not sure if the formulation has changed, but the biscuits look smaller than normal, they seem greasy, and much darker, and they smell stronger than usual. I'm now stuck with a 2.5 kg bag that will end up getting donated to a local shelter. Such a shame as this used to be a favourite choice.

My cat's been on this food for over a year now and with this recent purchase, he's been ill – vomiting and loose stools. I suspect he's either developed an allergy to it or something about the food has changed. Will be trying out different varieties by the company to see if they're any better or will switch to a different brand entirely. There were no issues with previous purchases. He's a ragdoll and it gave him a gorgeous coat, lots of energy and healthy eyes and teeth.

Excellent, healthy food. Always buy it for the kitties. But the packaging for the 7.5kg version is not suitable for the size. Due to the weight, the built-in seal tears instantly, no matter how careful you are. So you are left with an always-open HUGE bag of cat food.

No problem with this cat food my two cat enjoyed this flavor.

This is devoured by all four of my cats. They were brought up on low cost brands and had never complained. I was feeling flush one month and purchased a 7.5kg bag as a treat. Within 3 weeks their coat started to become soft and glossy. Now 3 months on and their fur has never been so soft. Highly recommend.

Our cat has had this food from day 1 along with wet food for dinner, she tends to go on and off different varieties of wet food but is always craving this dried food! A winner!

I always liked feeding this food, especially because both my cats ate it well. But the new size of the kibble (mini!) means they don’t chew it anymore, they just swallow it whole. I definitely won’t be buying it again! At least the hedgehogs are happy with the leftovers.

My tomcat can only eat small kibbles because of his dental issues. I searched for a long time to find kibbles he can eat and that fit in the automatic feeder. So, perfect. Both cats enjoy eating it.

I have now had my cats get diarrhea for the second time after starting a new bag. The kibble also looks slightly different with every bag in terms of size and color, and the last bag smelled different too. The kibble is also very small, one of my cats just swallows them without chewing. I don’t trust it anymore, so I’m going to try something else.

My cats love this food, plus they feel full with just a small amount. Their fur has changed since the day they started eating it.

The new content is so tiny, it could just about pass as kitten food.

My cats loved this food, but without any notice the pieces are now only half the size and the girls don’t want it anymore. So now we have to look for an alternative. Changing cat food rarely makes sense.

Although this is a premium food, some cats are reluctant to accept it because most of them have been eating food with grains and all sorts of junk. Food like Royal Canin or other well-known brands is the equivalent of a McDonald's for us. Of course it tastes better than a chicken salad :) Mine were on Royal Canin for about 8 years until one cat started vomiting and another developed an allergy to their food. It took me quite a few tries before they fully accepted Applaws.
