I had high hopes for this, because my cats always pulled the cat grass out of the bowl by the roots, so there were clumps of grass everywhere. Unfortunately, the grass seeds that came with it didn’t grow, and they started to smell bad very quickly. I started using seeds from another brand, but as the grass grows, it pushes up the top green plastic part (which is supposed to stop them from getting to the roots). No matter how much I weighed it down or tried to fix it, it wouldn’t stay in place. So unfortunately, it doesn’t solve the exact problem I bought it for.

The refill grass doesn't work; I think it's an expensive purchase and it doesn't deliver. Worst purchase ever.

As soon as the grass starts growing, it lifts the green cover up with it—the cover just doesn’t stay in place. If you try to push it back down, you end up pressing all the grass flat and it just becomes a mess... The silicone mat around it doesn’t sit nicely either.
