So good! ;)
Short and sweet: Great toy for both our 6-year-old tomcat and our 2-year-old cat! Perfect for the lazy ones among us! :D
Highly recommended! Nice and straightforward! ^^

Warning, highly addictive!!
From the very first minute, the pointer was THE hit with our four cats, especially in darker rooms where it's perfect for playing.
The batteries have lasted us almost two weeks now, despite daily and frequent use.
It's also great that it switches itself off after 15 minutes, so you can turn it on just before leaving the house and the cats will entertain themselves.
Unfortunately, the noises it makes are sometimes more interesting than the dot itself. It's already been knocked off the table, but it survived everything just fine.

The tomcats are still thrilled......
... but it seems to be a 'battery guzzler'. I’ll honestly admit that I like buying an eight-pack of batteries from 'KIK' for EUR 1. After 5 uses, there’s still a 'dot' left, but it’s unsatisfactory for the cat (very weak light).
Maybe I need to invest in quality batteries!?
In any case, the cat’s enthusiasm for the game remains unmatched!

My cats let me know when it's gone...
Last Saturday, 18/12/2010, the toy was delivered to me. I had to insert 4 AA batteries. Assembly is simple; any child could do it. The toy is a big hit. You can adjust the mirror attached to the 'cone-like' toy so that it points to the ceiling, wall, or floor.
Personally, I’ve placed it on the windowsill in the living room and set it to 'floor', so the dot jumps back and forth there.
OF COURSE, it’s not comparable to manual use!
However, I can’t understand the previous reviewers who claimed it poses a danger to the eyes. OF COURSE, cats/toms are curious about what it is. Mine are too!!!! But they’re more interested in chasing the dot than staring endlessly at the device.
I’m convinced! As I said, my little tomcat Monty comes meowing to me, and I know… 'The dot isn’t playing anymore' *giggles*
They’re clever like cats, those toms *laughs*
Then I go over and turn it back on!
For me and my three tomcats, I can only recommend it. I have no concerns about 'blinded eyes'.
Best regards
It switches off after 15 minutes!
I find that quite pleasant too!
That’s my opinion on it. WE are happy!

They love it!!
The kittens and even the older Maine Coon cats love it. I've often bought the wrong toys that just ended up lying around unused. I can really recommend this one. Some people say it's noisy; it does make sounds, but that doesn't bother me.
Best regards,

limited
My laser arrived defective, i.e., it only marks one point and doesn’t move. I received a discount, which was very kind of Zooplus. My tomcat still thinks it’s pretty cool, as he just chases the single point in one spot. But for the price, it’s rather underwhelming. The price-performance ratio doesn’t match!

Just Amazing!
Yes, you've heard it all before - best thing since sliced bread etc. etc. Now I'm kicking myself for waiting as long to buy this (thinking the price is steep). It is SO well worth the money. At the moment, poor kitty spends all day inside not liking the cold and wet then is bored at night. I sit there trying to watch tv while pointing a hand held lazer and getting fed up quickly but feeling infinitely guilty when she's sat staring into space waiting for something to come along and play with. The FroliCat Bolt keeps her going for hours. If you want abit of extra action, it's great doing it manually! Also great to leave on when off out walking the dogs as you know it switches off after 15 minutes. Kitty is endlessly entertained and you don't even have to be in the house. Additionally brilliant because one of the dogs chases Kitty chasing the lazer thinking she's wanting her to play, too :-D Just need to refine your "Search" IWOOT so it comes up when you type 'cat' or 'Froli' or 'Bolt' or similar.

Very cool thing, my cat loves it!
My little cat loves this gadget; he does occasionally knock it off the table, but it's very sturdy.
It's a shame it doesn't have a power adapter connection and that the mirror doesn't move on its own, as that would create different patterns.
Other than that, I'm very happy with it!
Almost every cat that loves laser pointers will adore this too :)

Real Fun
Perfect toy; our cats love to play with it! They want it every night..

Well, alright.
Well, my little one is already playing with it, but the thing is really loud and not great if you're trying to watch TV at the same time... but otherwise, it's alright.

too fast, too noisy
the laser goes too fast for the cats to keep up so they quickly lose interest. Also the unit makes a very loud sound every time it changes the direction of the laser, so the cats ended up just sniffing around the unit and not chasing the beam. Big shame.

My cats love it
I thought about it for a long time before deciding to order this, but I went ahead and did it—and I don’t regret it one bit. My three cats are absolutely thrilled with this device!!! It’s brilliantly adjustable, so they can chase and catch the laser in every direction. It’s also very convenient because you don’t have to do anything and can just watch your cat play! Simply fantastic!!!

Never leave the cat alone!!!
I returned this toy because you can't react quickly enough to stop the laser pointer from landing on the cat. Eyes can also be hit in the process!
Instruction manual only in English...

Never without supervision!
The Bolt could actually be a brilliant toy, as the moving red dot behaves similarly to an insect, encouraging the cat to play and hunt. However, there’s only one star for the following reason: When I ordered the toy, the product description implied that the laser beam wouldn’t negatively affect the cat’s eyes (this has since been revised). Both the instruction manual and the device itself, however, contain warnings stating that the light beam can indeed be dangerous for the eyes. This is actually quite obvious, as simply redirecting the laser beam with a mirror doesn’t significantly alter the physical properties of the laser light. Unfortunately, the beam reflected from the mirror can still hit the cat’s eyes during play, especially if the animal suddenly focuses on the device instead of the light dot. Therefore, you absolutely cannot let the cat play with the Bolt unsupervised, which defeats the purpose of an automated toy. I don’t understand why such a toy isn’t equipped with a harmless light source, like an LED, for example?

Great invention...
At first, I have to admit, I was sceptical about whether this toy would be any good. But I’m pleasantly surprised and absolutely thrilled!
Here are a few positive aspects:
- The laser pointer’s emission point is covered and reflected through a mirror, so the cats don’t look directly into the beam.
- The beam emitter inside the device moves, creating lovely curves and movements that really engage the cat.
- Perfect for letting your cat play alone. Just switch it on, and the device runs for 15 minutes on its own.
The only downside: The device makes audible noises, which could be quieter, as the cat can figure out where the beam is coming from. Our tomcat even knocked the device over once because of the noise, but it’s very sturdy, so nothing was damaged.
All in all, it’s a fantastic device! I recommend it to everyone, especially to cat owners who have to leave their pets alone for longer periods due to work!

Class
The four of us love the Frolicat :) All three cats go absolutely crazy chasing the little red dot—pure action!
Afterwards, as a "reward," treats are scattered around the flat so they can actually catch something.
Simply brilliant!

Laser pointer without supervision?
How can you use a laser pointer as a cat toy without controlling the dot yourself and without being extremely careful to ensure the laser beam doesn’t hit the cats’ sensitive eyes? A laser pointer, yes, but I think a laser pointer that plays with the animals on its own is irresponsible and highly dangerous for the cats’ eyes!
