Expensive to use
A fun toy & cheap to buy but it eats batteries.
Once you turn it on you have to wait for your cat to finish playing or keep checking back to turn it off. If you forget as I did, 3 new Energiser batteries were drained in under 2 hours

Cats got used to it too quickly
Initially one cat was terrified the other tried to murder the butterfly by holding it down constantly. After two introductions to this they were both bored of it. The butterflies are not very robust, but they do give you a few spares. May work for kittens.
Stops working
My cats loved this toy. My bengal loved to sit and let the butterfly tickle her face. Unfortunately it stopped working after about a week, like some of the other reviews have stated. Checked batteries, but it was dead as a dodo. Which is a shame. I'd say go for a more expensive version, but I bought one off Amazon and that too has stopped working (different issue).

My cat loves it but poor quality
My Maine Coon girl, Senua, will come running from upstairs if she hears this thing on (and she'll hear it from what feels like miles away).. she loves it so much, but unfortunately it only lasted for about a week before the mechanism stopped working. There are slightly more expensive versions out there that actually keep working even if you have a heavy cat playing with it, so not worth the money.

Great toy but.....
Brilliant toy and cats loved it but after 10 minutes it stopped working. Checked batteries etc but it’s the actual mechanism that spins the butterfly has stopped
Doesn't work, but kitty doesn't seem to mind
Unfortunately even though I put the batteries required, the mechanism doesn't work unless held at a jaunty angle. But, my cat doesn't seem to mind much. He loves the fact the butterfly gets knocked down and springs straight back up. Really seems to tire him out, which says a lot.
Too quick
This really needs speed settings!! It spins round so quick I think it could even be a little dangerous... the butterfly doesn't 'flutter' at all it just whizzes around.

Petrified of it as soon as i switched it on.
In my excitement of thinking she'd love it I ripped packing open so it's just a ornament sat in the corner of the room. 😂😂

I bought this for one of my cats for his birthday and he was terrified of it, same again with my other 6 cats when I put it in front of them. I thought they would love it - they are all big babies!

Great idea, but broke quickly
My cats love it! Unfortunately, the second device has already broken. The batteries keep leaking, which means the device stops working afterwards. It's really a shame, because otherwise my cats absolutely love it.

Funny Butterfly + 4 Ersatzschmetterlinge
Great while it lasts..
Basically, a beloved toy for all our playful cats... But I ordered it in November and now the motor has already given up. I also had to replace the butterflies quite often, mainly because the rods bend down very quickly and it's almost impossible to bend them back... plus some butterflies were just badly made and flew backwards...
Yeah... what a shame.
