I wanted a tunnel that wasn’t made of synthetic fibres.
It looks great. However, it really has a strong smell. In my opinion, it doesn’t smell chemical like most people here say, but it smells exactly like a jute sack. I hope the smell will dissipate over time. I’ll also try washing it.
Our cat loves it though. She jumped right in as soon as I unpacked it. The smell doesn’t seem to bother her (which, by the way, is only in the outer material).

Great tunnel

Best purchase
The cats love the tunnel and have been using it daily for playing for the past two months. Unlike other toys, it hasn’t become boring yet. However, some seams are starting to come undone due to the heavy use, but I’ll sew them back up myself...

After reading the critical comments about the awful smell but also "disappears quickly," I decided to order anyway.
Indeed: Both my "boys'" noses and mine were seriously offended!
With images of Chinese textile factories in mind (unfortunately, the tunnel, like most things, is made in China), where workers suffer from the chemicals, it went straight "into the washing machine"!
Air drying wouldn't have helped much! Thanks for the tip about washability!

Top product, great price
The play tunnel is a big hit here, especially in combination with the cat teaser. Every time the "little bird" flies into the tunnel, our little one goes absolutely wild. He jumps on it, over it, under it, scratches it, and bites into it. So far, the tunnel has withstood everything. It’s already pulling a few threads, but considering the wear and tear, I don’t think that’s a big deal.
