Almo Nature Cat Litter

The quality is great, texture superb - very fine litter. It does stick to the bottom of the tray and sides, and it’s a bit difficult to remove the clumps, but I would be able to accept that. However, it is not DUST FREE! If you have an asthma or respiratory allergies, I advise you to not buy this litter. I bought it as description states that it’s dust free, and it gave me respiratory allergy. The description is misleading and they should change it.

I have 5 cats using the litter trays. I bought this as reviews indicated that there is no mess with this and it doesn't stick to paws. It does clump , but it is quite messy. Not where it's been scooped out by the cats, but where it shakes off their fur and it does cling to paws. When first putting it down it got onto my hands as a very fine and soft powder and I had to wash it off, it didn't fall off by rubbing. That means that the cats, who lick themselves clean, are swallowing small amounts.

Basically, the litter is very good. It hardly creates any dust, clumps really well and also binds odours. Unfortunately, it sticks a lot to the cats’ paws and ends up being spread all over the flat. After testing it for a few weeks, I won’t be buying it again. The daily effort of sweeping or vacuuming, because the litter is everywhere, is just too much. And whether the litter causes any health issues for the kitty can’t be ruled out.

Clumping is great and the smell is well contained. The cats love the litter because it’s soft and gentle. BUT: The litter spreads up to about 5 metres outside the litter box. Since it’s like sand, it gets tracked even further when the cats walk across the floor. That’s why I won’t be buying this litter again. And it’s very expensive, as you need much more litter than stated.

First, the positives: both my cats really like it, it locks in the smell very well, clumps brilliantly and there’s hardly any dust. The negatives: it gets tracked all over the place outside the litter box, it’s unfortunately very expensive and doesn’t last anywhere near as long as stated. And the most annoying thing, my toilet got blocked a few times because the litter doesn’t dissolve. It’s a pity, I won’t be buying it again.
