Cat Mate Elite Microchip Cat Flap with Timer Control

This cat flap is as good as previous reviews but I cannot for the life of me work out how to programme for the evening In Only mode so I have to do it manually at night and in the morning. The instructions need to be much clearer; I think there is a stage missing.

Easy to install and set up the timer, and register the cats’ microchips. I had two problems that I managed to solve with the included instructions. 1) The cat couldn’t get in. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It took about 3–4 seconds in the tunnel to scan the cat. My cats don’t have that kind of patience. The problem was that "Extra security" was on (EON), and I needed to set it to EOFF. 2) The timer’s curfew times didn’t work the first day. I had to reprogram them and they’ve worked ever since.

I have a problem with the locking noise. It terrifies my dog, who had a tough past before I adopted her, so I'm not sure I can keep her. I need one that's less noisy. 😱
