Fantastic except for the plastic/metal bowl
Excellent training programme, thank you for that, it worked perfectly!!
Unfortunately, high energy consumption, which is probably unavoidable. Batteries don’t last long during continuous use.
A porcelain bowl would be better. Plastic/metal aren’t odour-neutral and can promote chin acne in cats (I know this from a trained cat expert).
Many thanks nonetheless for this great, helpful device!

Almost perfect
We bought two devices four years ago because our flat always smelled of cat food. Plus, in summer, we had flies in the flat that quickly laid eggs in the wet food. The automatic feeders completely serve their purpose for this. No smell, no more flies, and the cats accepted the feeders straight away. However, I’m deducting one star because cleaning them is difficult. One feeder no longer closes properly, and the price is quite steep.

Great bowl
My tomcat is a picky eater, and this bowl keeps the food fresh at all times.
He understood how it works after just one day.
What I do find a bit disappointing, though, is that SureFeed only offers plastic and metal bowls, not ceramic ones... hence the deduction of one star. But there's nothing to complain about with the feeder itself. Brilliant product!

Does the job.
I used some dry food and Schmackos as an extra incentive. We could skip the "training programme" – it worked straight away. Even in the evening, when the wet food was added, they came immediately!
The device is so quiet that you can't hear it opening and closing! No smell at all!!! The downside is really the rubber seal on the bowl. It gets dirty, and it would be handy if you could put it in the dishwasher. Maybe a rubber seal on the lid instead?

For animals with black fur, it's rather tricky.
I bought the feeding bowl because my kitten is a grazer, and I always want to provide her with fresh food. A major drawback is my cat's fur colour: black. With the help of the manufacturer's customer service, I adjusted the sensitivity of the device so that the lid doesn't close again after just a few seconds. My cat has gotten used to the lid opening and closing multiple times now.

Regular cleaning
The bowl works perfectly and has done so for over a year! The food stays fresh, and it serves its purpose. Unfortunately, over time, mould spots have formed on all the feeding bowls I own (3 pieces). Additionally, I have to clean the hinges of the lid every two days because flies lay their eggs there, and if you're not careful, maggots can end up in the food.
Still, I'm satisfied and don't regret the purchase.

Works quite well, but it's not perfect yet.
Due to the character limit, in telegram style:
- Device works quite well after calibration
- Condensation water should be wiped off the inside of the flap more frequently to avoid mould and odour
- Pure battery operation is neither eco-friendly nor economical. A power supply can only be used with self-made battery adapters (see product photo)
- The mat forcibly coupled with the additional bowls is laughably small
- Stainless steel bowls (€25/pair) are only available directly from SureFlap

Does the job but isn't perfect...
We are very satisfied overall, as the wet food stays fly-free and moist, and most importantly, the whole flat no longer smells of it. Our indoor cats accepted it straight away as well. However, it's annoying that two cats can't eat peacefully at the same time because the lid keeps opening and closing every few seconds. Also, the fact that the bowls can only be purchased as a set with the mat for the chip-controlled version and the divided bowl as a replacement is very frustrating.

The idea isn't bad, but there's room for improvement.
The idea of protecting the food from flies and drying out is great :o) and was well received by my two furry friends in terms of its functionality. Unfortunately, they rejected the food (in summer) after it had been sitting for a while, as it probably didn’t smell as appealing anymore.
Perhaps it would be an idea for summer to develop a cooling pack or something similar that could be placed under the food bowl, so the food remains tasty even for "divas".

Small feeding mat
Still getting used to it.
The feeding bowl looks very nice, but what's the deal with the little green feeding mat?
I could have done without it and would have preferred an extra replacement bowl instead.

Fantastic idea, but much too big
Very disappointed that the unit as a whole is sooo big and bulky. The plastic bowl itself is 0.4litre but the whole unit it sits in is huge. But overall the product is a great idea, food is completely sealed so great to keep flies away in the summer, and does help keep food fresher longer. Would definitely recommend, but I wish SureFeed would make a more compact version, a smaller unit with a smaller bowl (closer to 0.2l). I have 6 ceramic food bowls down at one time (all 0.2l), and they don't take up very much floor space at all, but if I were to have six of these units down, they would take up way too much floor space! I also like to put a couple bowls up high, but these are much too bulky to be able to do that

Very good for wet food
For wet food, a good solution.
The food stays moist for a long time and doesn’t need to be emptied after 15 minutes.
At first, our cat was terribly startled.
But curiosity and the desire for food won out in the end. Now she knows the device and eats happily.
It’s a shame that the bowls aren’t dishwasher-safe.

Our "Granny" Luzie
I bought the SureFeed feeder and I'm quite satisfied so far. My two tomcats (1 and 1 1/2 years old) figured it out straight away.
Only our "grandma" Luzie shows some resistance towards the feeder, UNLESS there's dry food (as a treat) in the feeder. Then she goes to it without hesitation and eats :-).
It would just be nice now if there were replacement feeding bowls available, and if they came in other colours too.

SureFeed Airtight Feeding Bowl
The product works really well overall, is very quiet, and the cat eats from it. The only downside is that because the bowl is truly airtight, the bowl starts to smell like the food and vice versa. Especially the rubber seal of the bowl ends up "stinking" quite badly. As a result, the food starts to smell a bit different, and the cat doesn’t like it anymore after half a day. Probably because the food isn’t "aired out." A ceramic bowl would definitely be better.

Simply great
Works as described, the wet food stays fresh and insects stay away. The first warm days are over, and we’re still free of buzzing pests!
The "old" cat (13 years) immediately understood the concept thanks to her calm and patient behaviour, while the young cat (11 months) approached it curiously, was startled at first, but quickly got the hang of it. I’m thrilled and am now ordering a second bowl. Cleaning is easy. With a timer, it would be perfect.
