Recommendation
My three senior cats accepted the automatic feeder without any problems. The training phase was already completed by the next day. Even my daughter's cats had no trouble accepting their feeder.
The lid closes as expected, sealing well so that flies and other pests can no longer reach the food.
The three plastic parts can be easily removed for cleaning.

Very practical
I already have two of these FA at home. Had to order two new ones now because one gave up the ghost, which can happen sometimes, and I don’t see it as a negative—quite the opposite. I can only recommend them, especially for the sake of our furry friends. Mine accept the FA without any problems and are grateful to always get fresh food that hasn’t dried out.
The most important thing is that the "can opener" is also very impressed, as I have to throw away less. Again and again!

Great piece!
Perfect way to keep food fresh throughout the day. My two cats started using it within just a few hours without any training! I'm thrilled!

Feeding bowls
I've been using the SureFeed for 3 months now. Since my cat became diabetic, she always needs access to her food, and she couldn't manage with the other automatic feeders. I don't like that the bowls are made of plastic for hygiene reasons. Instead, as a solution, I've now placed the oval ceramic bowls from Trixie inside the plastic ones. It works just as well, and the vacuum seal is maintained.

Amazing piece
My little kittens didn’t need any training phase; they just sit in front of it and the lid opens. Even if the lid closes again while they’re eating, they don’t get discouraged. It opens immediately and they carry on eating. Stainless steel bowls would certainly be better. The batteries have lasted almost 3 weeks now. There’s no smell, and the food stays fresh—they even keep eating hours later.

Works quite well, but it's not perfect yet.
Due to the character limit, in telegram style:
- Device works quite well after calibration
- Condensation water should be wiped off the inside of the flap more frequently to avoid mould and odour
- Pure battery operation is neither eco-friendly nor economical. A power supply can only be used with self-made battery adapters (see product photo)
- The mat forcibly coupled with the additional bowls is laughably small
- Stainless steel bowls (€25/pair) are only available directly from SureFlap

Works flawlessly
Finally, no more wet food smells in the flat. The device was easy to set up and was immediately accepted by my cats without any training phase. They weren’t even bothered by the flap, which at first opened and closed a bit uncontrollably while they were eating.
However, a DC input would be more modern, allowing the device to be powered by a mains adapter instead of batteries. The extra mat, though, is a joke in terms of size and completely pointless.

Very satisfied!
I've had the automatic feeder for a while now and I'm really happy with it.
The cats got used to it very quickly, and they like that the food stays fresh for longer.
However, I don't like the plastic bowls, so I had some made from ceramic.

Does the job but isn't perfect...
We are very satisfied overall, as the wet food stays fly-free and moist, and most importantly, the whole flat no longer smells of it. Our indoor cats accepted it straight away as well. However, it's annoying that two cats can't eat peacefully at the same time because the lid keeps opening and closing every few seconds. Also, the fact that the bowls can only be purchased as a set with the mat for the chip-controlled version and the divided bowl as a replacement is very frustrating.

Feeding bowls
I have 2 Surefeed units, not for very long, and they work quite well with the food. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that the rubber seals are developing black spots. Looks like mould stains. I haven’t cleaned the trays in the dishwasher. I’ve contacted the manufacturer and am curious to see what they say about this issue. I bought them directly from the manufacturer.

The perfect solution to our problems
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Surefeed to everyone. I was very sceptical for a long time about whether something like this was really necessary. Now I’m annoyed that I didn’t buy it much earlier.
Finally, no more flies, no dried-out food, and therefore no more food to throw away. This means we’re saving money now. My cat (9 years old) took just 7 days to complete the training programme, and my tomcat (2 years old) practically accepted it straight away.
By the way, there are ceramic bowls from other brands available online. It would be great if Zooplus could offer them as well!

Brilliant!
Great invention! Ordered because of fly eggs on the wet food of our little picky eaters. We skipped the training programme – on the first day I helped with opening it, and from day two onwards, the two gentlemen have been helping themselves! No flies, the food stays fresh, so even our fussy lords enjoy it! The lid opens/closes very quietly. However, I did buy very high-quality batteries as recommended by the manufacturer! Highly recommended!!!

The idea isn't bad, but there's room for improvement.
The idea of protecting the food from flies and drying out is great :o) and was well received by my two furry friends in terms of its functionality. Unfortunately, they rejected the food (in summer) after it had been sitting for a while, as it probably didn’t smell as appealing anymore.
Perhaps it would be an idea for summer to develop a cooling pack or something similar that could be placed under the food bowl, so the food remains tasty even for "divas".

Surefeed pet bowls
I really liked the idea of this. I even tested it on my mum's cat before b by getting one with my points before buying 2 for my own cats. I thought I may as well as there was a 20% discount going on all pet food orders at the time. However, my cats are very unsure of them and the lid movement/noise. So much so that I've had 1 of my cats (Miss Independent) be VERY affectionate with me because she was so hungry and avoided the use of the pet bowls. I'd give them both time to get used to them as they're scardy cats anyway BUT and the big but is, cats are typically messy when they eat. I've found that the slightest crumb outside the actual bowl itself in these feeders stops the lid from opening up and NO the mess is not on the sensors. I also find the machine itself a faff to clean. Therefore ive made the decision to email zooplus and return/get a refund for them. I also bought 2 x split bowls which I will actually keep. Back to putting kitchen towel over the bowls to protect their food from flies it is then. At least the rubber lip on the spilt bowls helps keep the kitchen towel from getting blown off the bowls when you have windows open. Oh well!

Not dishwasher safe
I would buy it straight away, but the fact that the feeding bowls aren't dishwasher-safe feels outdated to me. If the manufacturer improves this, I'll purchase it immediately.

Idea and craftsmanship are good – but the controls are poor.
I ordered two machines for my two indoor cats. Unfortunately, the initial enthusiasm was quickly replaced by disappointment: batteries are not supported (not very modern). Even with new batteries, the low battery warning appears again after just a few days. The motor continues to run for about 10 seconds multiple times after each opening/closing (wear and battery consumption). After one week, one device no longer opens/closes reliably. Support only recommends trying different batteries.

Great piece
I bought the SureFeed feeder at the beginning of summer after constantly finding fly eggs in the wet food.
I kept the acclimatisation period very short and did it differently from what’s described. It went very quickly with my two cats after I triggered the sensor a few times. Outdoor cats that come home are usually hungry, which made it particularly easy.
Overall, an absolute recommendation for a product I previously thought was somewhat unnecessary...

Small feeding mat
Still getting used to it.
The feeding bowl looks very nice, but what's the deal with the little green feeding mat?
I could have done without it and would have preferred an extra replacement bowl instead.

Fantastic idea, but much too big
Very disappointed that the unit as a whole is sooo big and bulky. The plastic bowl itself is 0.4litre but the whole unit it sits in is huge. But overall the product is a great idea, food is completely sealed so great to keep flies away in the summer, and does help keep food fresher longer. Would definitely recommend, but I wish SureFeed would make a more compact version, a smaller unit with a smaller bowl (closer to 0.2l). I have 6 ceramic food bowls down at one time (all 0.2l), and they don't take up very much floor space at all, but if I were to have six of these units down, they would take up way too much floor space! I also like to put a couple bowls up high, but these are much too bulky to be able to do that

Actually very good... but
The food stays fresh and the cat is happy... until, for no apparent reason, the lid closes while the cat is still eating.
The device is always clean, and the batteries have been replaced.
So far, no one has been able to explain why the lid closes.
