The Surefeed is definitely worth recommending. My British Shorthair kitten still eats in small portions, of course, and thanks to the cover, the flat doesn’t smell of food. The training programmes are brilliant and really well thought out; we were able to go through them quite quickly because the little one understood it in no time. The only downside is that the lovely green bowls aren’t dishwasher-safe.

My tomcat is a picky eater, and this bowl keeps the food fresh at all times. He understood how it works after just one day. What I do find a bit disappointing, though, is that SureFeed only offers plastic and metal bowls, not ceramic ones... hence the deduction of one star. But there's nothing to complain about with the feeder itself. Brilliant product!

I used some dry food and Schmackos as an extra incentive. We could skip the "training programme" – it worked straight away. Even in the evening, when the wet food was added, they came immediately! The device is so quiet that you can't hear it opening and closing! No smell at all!!! The downside is really the rubber seal on the bowl. It gets dirty, and it would be handy if you could put it in the dishwasher. Maybe a rubber seal on the lid instead?

I’m really very satisfied and thrilled at the same time. It keeps the wet food fresh for an impressively long time. Ever since we’ve had the bowl, I only refill the wet food twice, without having to throw any of it away... Thumbs up, I can only recommend it!

I ordered the Surefeed because my cats are nibblers and the food in their bowls would sit around for hours and dry out. They got the hang of it straight away, weren’t bothered at all by the noise or movement, and immediately went for the bowl. The flat no longer smells of cat food, and they always have fresh food available. I’m completely satisfied.

My cat is a picky eater. Now no food gets scattered around, and there’s no smell in the flat, even when there’s tuna in the bowl. The learning mode was confusing, so we started using it in "normal" mode straight away. For the feeding bowl, I found an oval ceramic dish from Trixie that fits perfectly. She won’t eat from stainless steel bowls, and I don’t want to use plastic ones.

Two cats, two bowls. Both immediately understood that the lid opens automatically and weren’t bothered at all by the (quiet) noise. The food now stays fresh for longer, and most importantly, my flat hardly smells of cat food anymore; that was the main reason for buying the bowls. Of course, they make a mess while eating, so you have to clean the casing now and then. But it’s worth it to me. I use rechargeable batteries.

I know, you’re not really supposed to say this. But my cat really isn’t the brightest... Even so, she accepted this feeding bowl after about 2 1/2 weeks. With the lid completely closed. And without running away in a panic. The food stays fresh, no more flies around the food, and it’s super easy to clean. Great product. If only I’d discovered it 4 years earlier... :( So, go ahead and buy it! By the way, the sensor works brilliantly. My cat has quite dark fur.

My cat understood it straight away, and overall, I'm actually quite satisfied. The food stays fresh, and there's no more smell. However, I primarily bought it because of the tiny fruit flies that bother us in the summer. Unfortunately, they manage to get through the really narrow gaps and then feel like they're in paradise. That's a big downside for me, so I'm deducting 2 stars.

I’m absolutely thrilled! I even feel like our two have been eating much better since we started using it… they always eat in stages, and the half-dried food was never quite up to scratch 😏 but now, thank goodness, it stays fresh!

I bought the feeding bowl because my kitten is a grazer, and I always want to provide her with fresh food. A major drawback is my cat's fur colour: black. With the help of the manufacturer's customer service, I adjusted the sensitivity of the device so that the lid doesn't close again after just a few seconds. My cat has gotten used to the lid opening and closing multiple times now.

My opinion of the product has changed after several weeks of use and is no longer as positive as it was on the first day. My cat (Siamese/Burmese mix) is not as impressed with the feeding bowl as I am. He is reluctant to eat from the bowl, even though he previously only ate from stainless steel bowls. Cleaning the bowl is very impractical due to the rubberised rim (not removable). Unfortunately, the space for a detailed review here is very limited, so I will refrain from further elaboration.

That the feeding bowl is made of plastic is, of course, borderline from a hygiene perspective. They’ve cut corners in the wrong place here. I cover the bowl with cling film. That way, I can simply dispose of the leftovers along with the film, and the bowl stays clean.

Since using SureFeed, I throw away much less wet food. My kittens eat in stages, but as soon as the food dried out, they refused to touch it. Thanks to SF, it stays fresh.

The bowl works perfectly and has done so for over a year! The food stays fresh, and it serves its purpose. Unfortunately, over time, mould spots have formed on all the feeding bowls I own (3 pieces). Additionally, I have to clean the hinges of the lid every two days because flies lay their eggs there, and if you're not careful, maggots can end up in the food. Still, I'm satisfied and don't regret the purchase.

I have four of these feeding bowls. My cats took to them straight away. The food stays fresh for longer. I'm very satisfied.

Our cat is a picky eater. With the current heat, the wet food always dried out unappetisingly, and fruit flies joined in. With the SureFeed airtight feeding bowl, the food stays moist, and the fruit flies stay out. We didn’t need the training mode. A few favourite treats in the bowl, and our cat immediately understood the concept. I’ll be ordering the stainless steel bowls soon and am hoping for a ceramic version in the near future.

A wonderful "invention" – the food is well protected, and the home is free from odours. The movement of the cover was accepted very quickly.

I’ve already bought 4 Surfeeds – one for each cat. They’re all happy.

Excellent and economic way of keeping cat food free from flies as the lid seals so well. No issues with my cat getting used to it and no issues with food theft too -bonus!
