SureFeed Sealed Pet Bowl

Bought as house rabbits food was being poached by invading house mouse. Stopped that and bunnies not deterred by lid mechanism. Fantastic

This bowl is a god send , keeps the raw cat food fresher longer . I had already got the microchip version for one of my cats who is on a different diet so along with this bowl for my other cats it's a godsend... Highly recommend

This is very good at keeping the raw meat i feed fresh . Very happy i purchased a second one ..

My cat took to it very quickly. Good easy to use product although the opening and closing gets a little noisy over time even with cleaning and battery change.

The product works really well and has a very good training programme so all 3 cats despite timidity mastered the bowls. Keeps the food fresh so now no waste and no flies in the summer when windows are open. Easy to keep clean and in fact it encourages the cats to be less messy eaters. The mechanism still works even if the cats aren’t perfect eaters. From my experience I would recommend.

Excellent and economic way of keeping cat food free from flies as the lid seals so well. No issues with my cat getting used to it and no issues with food theft too -bonus!

I really liked the idea of this. I even tested it on my mum's cat before b by getting one with my points before buying 2 for my own cats. I thought I may as well as there was a 20% discount going on all pet food orders at the time. However, my cats are very unsure of them and the lid movement/noise. So much so that I've had 1 of my cats (Miss Independent) be VERY affectionate with me because she was so hungry and avoided the use of the pet bowls. I'd give them both time to get used to them as they're scardy cats anyway BUT and the big but is, cats are typically messy when they eat. I've found that the slightest crumb outside the actual bowl itself in these feeders stops the lid from opening up and NO the mess is not on the sensors. I also find the machine itself a faff to clean. Therefore ive made the decision to email zooplus and return/get a refund for them. I also bought 2 x split bowls which I will actually keep. Back to putting kitchen towel over the bowls to protect their food from flies it is then. At least the rubber lip on the spilt bowls helps keep the kitchen towel from getting blown off the bowls when you have windows open. Oh well!

Very disappointed that the unit as a whole is sooo big and bulky. The plastic bowl itself is 0.4litre but the whole unit it sits in is huge. But overall the product is a great idea, food is completely sealed so great to keep flies away in the summer, and does help keep food fresher longer. Would definitely recommend, but I wish SureFeed would make a more compact version, a smaller unit with a smaller bowl (closer to 0.2l). I have 6 ceramic food bowls down at one time (all 0.2l), and they don't take up very much floor space at all, but if I were to have six of these units down, they would take up way too much floor space! I also like to put a couple bowls up high, but these are much too bulky to be able to do that

Overall, the device is a clever solution. As long as you don’t have a completely black cat. My cat is entirely black and apparently the sensor doesn’t recognise her, so she ends up sitting in front of a bowl that’s always closed. I’m sure this could be improved. We use the system without a microchip.

I'm really happy with it, and the training programme is great too. But black cats aren't picked up by the sensor... so my black one gets nothing :( such a pity. Even my old Persian lady has gotten used to it.

I was worried that after so many years with a "normal" bowl, my dog wouldn't get the hang of the system—she's 11 years old, but she figured out how to use it straight away. No more flies landing on her food, great invention, we're both delighted with it 😊🐕

After 2 or 3 years, the motor no longer has enough power to open the lid. As for the battery, the consumption is reasonable.

I thought it was a microchip-activated bowl, to stop the cats from swapping bowls... But in the end, the bowl opens as soon as it detects any movement passing by.
