We've had it for two years now and it worked perfectly up until today, although the light stopped working about half a year ago, which didn't bother us. Today the pump broke. Everything worked flawlessly until now, and we never found it too loud or too bright. One of our cats didn't get the starfish attachment at all, but the other attachment worked well for both of them.
