My cat with CKD has been eating this for 2 years but the quality has gone down. Especially the beef. I now have to remove bits of gristle which weren't there before, wasting so much of the food. I've tried to replace this and was reading the reviews of the Animonda renal, which seems to have the same problem. Maybe they're made by the same company?? I've managed to find another food which is pate (he'll only eat pate) so I interchange as he likes variety. Feeding a CKD cat is so difficult!

I had one cat that needed renal and one cat that needed GL free. This feeds both of their diets luckily. They both love it and makes them wake me up in the morning. They’ve been having this for a few months now and don’t seem to get bored of it. I tried beef but one cat kept missing out when I tried to introduce it by mixing it slowly to the chicken flavour and so they kept being sick. The chicken one hasn’t ever made either sick.

Initially, my cat loved this, but then went off it. Her experience of liking it was somewhat intermittent.

This food is pate texture, that my ckd cat likes.only need one tray aday to keep my cats weight stable. It's very good value for money.its important that my cat has renal food,this food makes it possible and affordable.

My cat seems keen on this food.Its a competitive price compared to the big brands. .pate texture which my 16 year old cat finds easier to eat.

My senior cat has gone off his usual royal canin kidney care pouches. He loves this and it’s significantly cheaper.

My 17 year old Tortie, diagnosed with Early Stage Kidney Disease is a fussy eater. We had fights over the original, dearer stuff I bought for her, no matter how much I dressed it up. Read reviews on this, and thought what the heck, let's try it. We have a winner, and a Tortie who has most of her spark back. For the price, its certainly worth trying, unlike my expensive panic buy mistake. Not every beastie is going to like what you buy, but others will. Take a chance, or you'll never know

The cat just won’t eat it despite her liking the Smilla renal dry kibble. Wish there’s a gravy option to this to try. Wasted all that money.

My kitty hated this dry and wasted my money

This was recommended after my 20 yr old cat got kidney issues. We are a year and half since then and i honestly believe this food gave him extra life. I would recommend this food very much

My 16 year old cat has tried & rejected various well-known brands of renal food. Smilla is the only one he will eat. He particularly likes the beef flavoured one. The pâté formula is also preferable for him as he only has 3 teeth left now! Compared to other veterinary brands, Smilla is good value. Recommended!

Not a fussy cat, but refused this one point blank

My cat Ziggy, who is 25 and has had renal insufficiency for several years, loves this food. She has rejected most of the other renal diet foods.

After being told my cat had to have a renal diet it tried Hills and Purina but he only ate when he was starving. I didn't know what to do but then tried Smilla. I haven't looked back. He lives it.

My cat isn't fussy at all and usually eats anything, this is the only cat food he has EVER turned his nose up at. Only bought because my usual was out of stock and I won't bother again

My cat was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. I ordered a selection of renal foods to try. She will normally eat anything put in front of her but this was the only wet renal food that she would eat. She also loved the Smilla renal dry.

Out of everything my cat has tried, this food is definitely her favourite.

I've tried giving it to them twice. They sniff it and walk away without taking a lick.

Tasty food and it smells good too. The texture is great as well—now my cat can't just lick off the gravy.

My three kitties love this wet food, and especially our 18-year-old Maine Coon oldie gets it every day as a supplement. It's very well tolerated, especially for his kidney insufficiency. We've been feeding it for 4 years now and they still enjoy eating it.

At the moment, this has turned out to be one of the most appealing renal foods my cats have tried and eaten.

A good diet option, my cat eats the food with pleasure.

When we had to switch to RENAL, I tried several products. This is the only one that at least one of the two eats happily.

There are a few hard pieces in it sometimes, but otherwise it's great.

My two cats refuse to even try the product. To think I bought 24 cans... I'm terribly disappointed.

None of my three cats like it. Unfortunately, this diet from this brand disappointed us. The dry food from this brand is fine, but sadly, this one isn’t.

They eat it happily. The downside is that it has some chunks; I would prefer it to be all mousse. Good value for money.
