My Persian kittens had a very odd side effect with this food. They would go absolutely crazy as if they were possessed straight after a feed and it would last a good 90 minutes maybe more with no let up. It’s most definitely the sugar content. I have stopped this food and my kittens are back to being happy. I will not be purchasing this product again.

I stopped giving this to my kittens when I realised it contains grains and sugar! This is nonsense food and definitely not good for them.

I have always fed my kitten with Royal Canine Kitten wet and dry food and she was eating it fine however the last time i ordered Royal Canine Wet food which was in August/September she stopped eating it. The food smells like burnt meat. I am feeding her with Encore now which is a bit expesive.

Our cat used to love it and used to get very excited when we opened a pack. But from the time of change of recipe he has refused to touch it. The smell has changed, the pieces are too small and they dry out. It's a shame they changed the recipe. It's horrible now.

More ends up on the floor than in their mouth. Much preferred the old version with larger chunks, I am constantly stepping in bits of cat food!

It was perfect for my cats, then Royal Canin changed it to smaller pieces which will dry fast. Also the smell of the food is different. I will not buy any more of this.

I have bought the old recipe for over 7 years... it's the only food my cats eat.... none of my 4 cats will touch the new recipe!!! I don't understand why it was changed, it's certainly not for the better according to my fussy cats.

The new food is not nearly as good - the pieces are far too small and dry out really quickly. I would like to go back to the old instinctive (the new packet doesn't actually say "instinctive")..

After struggling with my 2 year old cat to find a brand of food that she would eat continuously, they change the recipe. Why?!

What are Royal Canin doing ! firstly they have changed the amounts of 2 of the ingredients in the Royal Canin Persian Adult dry food this completely upset 2 of my Persians stomachs and I ended up at the vet with one of them 2 lots of medication and a Perscription diet food which he just will not eat ! Now since they changed the Kitten Instinctive and made the chunks smaller and my Persian kitten will only pick at it slightly what is the matter with Royal Canin they will lose a lot of sales now

As others have said, recipe has changed, meat chucks are far smaller. My cat just licks all the gelly / gravy from the chunks and leaves the meat... annoying as I've just bought 4 boxes of the stuff.

My kitten loved this food when the chunks were bigger, now he never finishes a pouch and then the chunks dry out and become like bullets!!

My 8 months old kitten used to love this wet food, he is a fussy eater and only eats Royal Canin wet and dry food. Ever since Royal Canin changed the recipe, which makes the meat chunk smaller (similar size to the dry food) and maybe also the smell; my kitten only licks the jelly from it and leaves the rest in the bowl. I'm gonna return the rest of my unopened boxes (I've order 48 packs) and being worried about what's my kitten gonna eat until I find the other brands that he's willing to eat.

The quality of the food has changed significantly. The chunks are tiny and dry up very quickly. My two kittens do not finish their dinner now and they used to before it changed. I have also found little orange bits in the food, which is causing some concern. I think I will have to change brands!

My two kittens seemed happy and healthy on this food until the recent change of the product. It is easy to spot as the chunks are much smaller but it smells different and all they will do is like jelly off it and not touch meat. I contacted Royal Canin who confirmed the recipe had been changed recently. Having looked online there seem to be other pet owners with similar experiences so now looking for a brand they will eat.

why do they add sugar to kittens food ?

This used to be a favourite with my kittens but lately the quality seem to have changed to the worse. It is no longer juicy jelly like but dry and my kittens wouldn't touch it. I have purchased this item from multiple vendor in the past 4-5 weeks but the result is the same. I tried adding some water to it but didn't help. I'm going to move onto a different brand now. Shame really.
