Integra Diabetic cat food is a hit among cats with diabetes, even those who are picky eaters. Many owners report their cats enjoy the turkey and salmon flavors, which have a smoother texture compared to beef and rabbit. Some cats dislike the gristly bits in certain flavors, but overall, the food is well-received and offers good value for money. Owners are pleased with the variety and how it helps manage their cats' conditions.
Highly palatable for picky eaters.
Variety of flavors available.
Good value for money.
Some flavors contain gristly bits.
Certain flavors may cause gastrointestinal issues.

Great product
My cat is a very fussy eater and has just been diagnosed with diabetes. I was worried about transitioning from her regilr food to this, but she absolutely loved it! Thank you

My cat loves this food
My almost 17 year old cat was diagnosed with diabetes over a year ago so i had to change his food from renal.
He's also on Senvelgo oral medication for diabetes and not insulin.
He has loved this food from the get go. His condition has been stable so I'm very happy. The only thing i will say is that apart from the Turkey flavour variety, the other flavours do seem to have quite a lot of gristle type lumps which he won't eat. Turkey has hardly any. If he's happy, I'm happy! And it's good value.

He eats it without any fuss.
Furry friends can be picky, and when switching to diabetic food, I was already fearing the worst. But every variety is eaten without any fuss.

My newly diagnosed cat loves it!
I have an almost 16 year old cat who's recently been diagnosed with Diabetes. Before this, he had some mild gastro issues so was eating the same brand but for Gastro troubles. I made the swap to Integra Diabetic food and he still loves it!
I'm hoping that his latest curve test will show good results in his fructosamine and glucose levels.
The rabbit and beef flavours do have some chunky, gristly bits in them which i have to remove. But the salmon is absolutely fine! I recommend this brand!

Really helped with my cats diabetis control
After diagnosis my Vet & I struggled for months to get my cats diabetes stabilised. After changing to a diabetic diet, it soon settled down and I've been using this & 3 others ever since. He likes it and always clears the bowl. "Smilla" is very similar but currently only 1 flavour, I like that there is variety with this one. (Other diabetic foods from Zooplus are "Concept for Life" & "Kattovit" Tins). I use them all so if one is out of stock there's always something else.

My fussy cat loves it!
New to diabetic cat food and she's the fussiest cat ever!
After reading other reviews thought would try Salmon Integra protect.
She loves it..and hoping at next vet visit her glucose levels will be lower.
Going to try other flavours too.

Wonderful!
My cat absolutely loves it and she’s truly a picky eater when it comes to anything that’s not dry food.

One Happy Fussy Cat!
My Cat has just been diagnosed with Diabetes and I was thinking, oh crap, she's proper fussy about food, what the hell am I going to feed Her on? But these, an absolute miracle. I don't even have to clean the Bowl as She's licked it clean!

God send
Our diabetic cat struggled with his food to begin with but he loves Integra. the other 2 healthy cats love it too and lick the bowls clean!
The rabbit is a big winner, they go mad for it!
its like a thick meaty pate consistency which cuts into chunks easily or can be mashed up with a fork if your cat prefers that.
Value for money is great. this is a constant in our basket and has helped control our cats sugars.

Medical substitute
At first, I was hesitant to switch from medication to food, but now I’m absolutely thrilled.
The results are fantastic with my tomcat, and he enjoys eating it too. We can completely do without injections.

Is happily devoured
Our tomcat has developed diabetes, and he really enjoys eating this food. It has a subtle but appealing smell. Based on the ingredients, it also convinces his owner. As for whether or how well it helps to lower his blood sugar, I can't say yet, as we've only recently received the diabetes diagnosis and a second blood test is still pending.

Tasty
My boys, one a Type 2 diabetic and the other tagging along, love all the varieties except the rabbit. Not even from another brand. The cats are BARFed at least once a day, and in between or when the fresh meat runs out, they get Animonda trays. They particularly prefer the salmon tray. The quality is very good.

Chicken and salmon flavour are great
Chicken and salmon are great, my cat loves them, they have a pate texture so theyre easy for him to eat too! The beef and rabbit have more of a grizzly texture, in the beef one i had to take big chunks of hard rind out and those flavours cause my cat sickness and diarrhea which is really what you dont want when your cat is on insulin! 4* due to that, not sure if any one else has had this problem but definitely recommend the chicken and salmon as i saw a real improvement in his glucose curves.

My cats eat the 100g tins but refuse the 200g tins- weird!
The chicken and beef are devoured in the 100g tins, but when I tried to reduce the costs and buy the larger 200g tins, they sniff it and walk away!
The consistency and texture varies visibly between the two and there is a greater percentage of white fatty deposits in the 200g tins.
I have no way of knowing the contents but my cats sure seem to be able to tell that something is different. SO far I throw away more than they eat so the 200g tins are not a cost saving- be warned.

Blood sugar levels demonstrably decrease!
My Maine Coon tomcat was unfortunately diagnosed with pancreatitis/diabetes as a consequence.
What can you do as an owner, in addition to using "good insulin," to possibly lower the values?
I’ve read and tried a lot.
It doesn’t have to be pure diabetes food, but a combination of sugar-free regular food with an NFE value below the threshold and Animonda Integra yields good results!
Not every variety is necessarily well received, though... But it’s a step in the right direction.

The cat is doing much better! Great food! No more insulin needed!
Our cat (15) suddenly developed diabetes a year ago. We noticed it due to excessive thirst, a massive increase in urine output, extreme weight loss, etc.
Then the diagnosis from the vet came quickly. Her levels were sometimes over 500 and no longer measurable. We changed her food, and since we've been consistently feeding her Integra Protect Adult Diabetes, her levels have been in the normal range. We no longer have to inject insulin! Her levels remain stable with the food, around 100. So, it's perfect!

Diabetes Rabbit, Salmon, Poultry, Beef
The new flavours are very well received by a diabetic cat, and her values are very good as a result. It's great that there are now several varieties available. I can definitely recommend them! I buy them regularly!

Great, My cat loves it!
I recommend this to anyone that has cats with diabetes. I haven't been to the vet since I bought it, but my car sure does love it. Don't hesitate to give it a try!
