This food is good. My cat likes it. There's a high meat content, along with some fat, that is made by a family company in Austria/Germany. I saw a review that gave some advice to soak the unopened pouch in some warm water before opening it, as it helps the food come out of the pouch easily. I would recommend anyone does that before trying to squeeze some meat with solidified fat in, out of the pouch. The warm water will also help the fat mix in with the meat itself.

I'm not able to comment on whether my cat likes this properly yet as he can be fussy after a couple of days on a new food, however I will say the texture and appearance is just the same as nature's menu and country hunter-like a dense pate. You can tell its a good quality food. I will update with my cats opinion!

My 2 boys and i have been a fan of Ferigna's food for a couple of years now. Recently I have decided to buy the "pounches" instead of the tin version. The boys obviously enjoy the food. I just wonder what makes the pouches a lot more expensive than the tin ones ? I checked the ingridents and all seem to be the same. All in all, I will keep buying Feringa but will only have the pouches when there is a deal. With 2 big hungry cats in the house, i can easily go bankrupt at this rate!

I like feeding it, especially because of the ingredients. Unfortunately, not all flavours are well received. A selection would be perfect!

My cats love it, as soon as they smell the freshly opened sachet they go mad. The first time I opened it, I thought the colour looked really odd, but it seemed to sit alright with the cats’ tummies, I think. The only personal issue I have with this sachet is the really strong smell. It takes ages to air out, it’s not too bad in the summer, but in winter it’s a total pain.

The food has a fairly dry, minced texture with a bit of fat. It smells appetising, but the appearance varies. In the sachet versions, I haven’t really come across things like aortas or bits of bone (those sometimes show up in the canned ones), but of course, there can be exceptions – recently I found quite a large aorta (my cat doesn’t have teeth, so he wouldn’t be able to manage it). Because it’s quite dry, I add 3-4 tablespoons of warm water to make a little sauce, which my cat happily eats.
