My budgie loves it, he’s not usually one to play that long with toys but he’s at this for hours. He gets really excited to pull the strings and rips off the bark from the perch. I gave it 4* because it’s quite heavy so it tends to lean a bit and I feel as though it could eventually break from the metal part with too many birds on it.

When attaching it, the screw immediately stripped, so the rod doesn’t sit firmly anymore. My budgies can now use it more like a seesaw. Otherwise, it’s a great idea and a good price!

This perch offers variety and fun, but unfortunately, birds can also get tangled in the strings.

A lovely seating area for budgies. However, I wouldn’t leave mine alone with it, as they could get their claws caught in the play ropes. Under supervision, this is a great toy!

I have two of these perches in the aviary. The ropes are completely ignored by my budgies. However, my elderly budgie used them very intensively when he was ill. The perch is wider due to the blocks attached on the sides, providing a sort of lying surface. Since my budgies don’t accept other "lying surfaces" like coconut swings or sitting boards, the perch was perfect for giving the sick one some relief. The perch is easy to attach and easy to clean.

Unfortunately, our two budgies aren't interested in the perch at all. They only use it as a brief stopover while flying. Our budgies simply can't be pried away from the highly coveted swing crown. As for the attachment to the cage, I can only say it's TOP. We have the Piano 6 birdcage (46.5 cm deep), and the perch (25 cm) holds perfectly.

It's very easy to attach, and our bird absolutely loves it. As soon as it was in, the bird was already on it. The bars of the cage do struggle a bit with the weight, even though they are very sturdy. But I would still recommend it.

I think this perch is a great change from the others. If you're worried about the long cotton fibres: just cut them shorter and nothing will happen, and the birds can still nibble on them. My four budgies love playing with it, even though it's positioned relatively low in the aviary. ;)
