Amazing!

Our tomcat has a growing tumour on his lower jaw (possibly osteosarcoma?) and has been eating less and less since then. We've tried quite a few things, but he absolutely took to this food! I'm so glad the vet recommended it, otherwise he would have lost even more weight. An absolute recommendation and a lifesaver for maintaining his weight with us! Thank you, Hill's!

If I could give this zero stars I would

This cat food has been amazing for the past two years, and the reason my cat with renal failure turned around. But this year, you have decided to change the recipe. It’s horrible. None of my cats will touch it, including my poorly cat. And how I haven’t lost a finger with the newly designed tins, I do not know. Very, very disappointed with Science Hill for this. And if my poorly girl deteriorates, I know why…

It's a shame that it has changed!

I gave this food another chance because it was recommended by the vet. One of my cats needs food without chunks and has to eat from an elevated feeding spot. But it’s no use anymore – after 2 years, she won’t touch the food, even with treats mixed in. Now I always give her other food, puréed – it’s more effort, but at least she eats it.

18-year-old cat has bounced back again 👍

For weeks of diarrhoea with vomiting, where even vets couldn’t help!!! MY PERSONAL TIP: Try Hills Urgent Care, mixed with potatoes and carrots (already prepared in baby food jars) and Perenterol Forte in the morning and evening (if the capsule can’t be administered, simply open it and let the cat/dog lick it off your finger). This saved my cat’s life. She still gets this food daily... and she’s doing very well with it.

Brilliant for my poorly cat

My cat Fuzzle had a carcinoma in his nose, this food was perfect when made into a soup as he could smell it and it was easy to eat. He did extremely well on it and my vet was also pleased.

No more feeding stress

My 21-year-old cat had lost weight due to his kidney insufficiency despite being on diet food, and he was eating very poorly. Our vet then recommended Hills Urgent Care (Paul is allowed to have one tin a day). Our old feline grandpa is absolutely crazy about the food, and the stress during feeding has stopped.

So far, so excellent

My 18 year old cat has developed complex co-morbid conditions over the past year, beginning with a bout of sickness that lead to rapid weight loss. He has Inflammatory bowel disease, hyperthyroidism, and stage 2 chronic kidney disease. Finding the right diet for this set of conditions has been challenging - but with his IBD under control and starting thyroid medication, my priority is now to see him put on weight. He took to this food immediately, and looks healthier already.

Simply brilliant

My tomcat has unfortunately already been through too much in his short life and had to lose his teeth before his first birthday. Recently, he had lost a lot of weight again, and something had to be done quickly. Now he’s getting the right medication and, on the recommendation of my vet, this food once a week as an extra treat, which he only shares with the others when he’s full. It’s especially popular when I mix it with warm water beforehand.

All tests at vets NAD. I came across this food. He ate it at once . Has helped regain his appetite. Gaining weight. Huge relief. He is happier so we are happy . Highly recommend 👌

Excellent nutritional supplement

My cat had almost no appetite during and after a persistent abdominal inflammation that required extensive medication. As a result, she became very lethargic and lost weight (and she’s already very petite). This also completely disrupted her entire digestive process. I was already feeling very desperate. Supplementing her diet with this "astronaut food" (slightly diluted) using a small syringe helped us get through this difficult time. - Now she only gets a portion every now and then.

Beneficial food for my poorly cat.

My cat had to be hospitalised for four days to have an operation. She lost all her wieght in such a short time but the vet advised I feed her this precise food and she recovered in such a short time. I was so grateful to the vet for her kindness. Now i like to keep some in stock constantly as she is an aged cat.

Great for malnourished or sick kittens

I received this supplementary food from the vet and the animal shelter for my foster kittens. It seems to be really tasty and also easy to digest. For one kitten, I had to administer it with a syringe into its mouth because it initially didn’t eat at all and later ate too little. The food is very smooth and creamy, so when mixed with a bit of warm water, it passes through the syringe very easily. It was a complete success – the little tomcat is now doing great and has gained weight quickly.

IBD "recovery food" for cats with poor appetite

14-year-old cat had several months of vomiting & diarrhoea. After various examinations and attempted food changes, we received the diagnosis of IBD. Due to the issues, he was very emaciated, and the vet said he needs to gain weight as quickly as possible. He likes this food, tolerates it well, and is slowly gaining weight again. Well tolerated despite the grain/sugar content.

Lifesaver

My elderly cat went downhill fast over the summer, and lost a lot of weight. In desperation I started syringe feeding him Restorative Care, watered down slightly in a small cup, warming it up a little in a makeshift bain-marie of a coffee mug of water. By the second day he was trying to suck it out of the syringe and went on to make a full recovery. Actual lifesaver.

Lifesaver Hills a/d!

Our cat suffered internal bleeding in the stomach and intestinal area and stopped eating altogether. He lost over 1.4kg in weight. Starting from 14 January 2020, we fed him 1.5 teaspoons of Hill's a/d mixed with 6ml of water – making 18ml – using a syringe directly into his mouth, 6-7 times a day. After two days, he started eating Dreamies treats on his own, and from 24 January 2020, he ate a little Hill's k/d wet food. Since 29 January 2020, he has been eating enough Hill's k/d dry food. We gradually reduced the a/d and stopped it completely on 28 February 2020. THANK YOU, Hill's!

Pötyike

My little Chihuahua often doesn’t want to eat. After 2–3 days of feeding her this food, she regained her appetite for other food.

Super

Our dog has chronic EPI and doesn’t eat on her own. She has been fed with a syringe for a year now. This food is perfect for that. Additionally, the composition is ideal for this condition. Thank goodness I can get the food from Zooplus at a great price, as the illness is incurable. Mia is in great shape and has gained weight again.
