Vet recommended

We were recommended this by our vet, it’s egg based which is why it’s quite dry. Whilst it might not look very appetising it did the job and cleared our dogs horrendous skin up, the trick is to be consistent and stick with it, also we had to change all our dogs treats so we eliminated all our possible contaminants. Turns out our dog has a wheat allergy. We complimented this with the derm care dry biscuits and the hypoallergenic dog treats (along with celery because my dog goes mad for celery!).

Different experience

My dog was receiving sensitivity injections every month but now no longer needs them. I feed him this mixed with a handful of the dry variety, both of which he loves

We couldn’t wait to see the end of them!

My dog was scratching a lot, he even received an injection from the vet for this. My dog isn’t fussy when it comes to wet food, he always finished the bowl in one sitting asking for more. He didn’t like this food from start. Barely touching it or don’t eating it at all. He only eat it when I took away his dry food. The consistency is like dry paper mash I had to add water to make it edible for my dog. His itching became worse after this food! Avoid at all cost!

Increase

The food is eaten willingly, the kibble is smaller than with other brands, and the stool output is less compared to previous types of food. I have the feeling she gets heartburn from it now and then, and she’s also gained weight despite precise feeding 😒 I don’t like that at all.

Very well received

My dog loves eating it. And her coat finally looks healthy again. No more bald, itchy spots.

Doesn't suit every food allergy

Our dog has a severe food allergy. Since his usual food was unavailable, we ordered this alternative. Unfortunately, he had a severe allergic reaction to the food – hair loss, itching, etc. You really need to check carefully whether it suits your dog. Thankfully, his regular food (Hill z/d) is available again. With medication and switching back to his usual food, he's doing better now.

Consistency very firm, tolerance very good

Loki is a severe allergy sufferer and has been on hypoallergenic food for a while. First the z/d, then we had to switch to d/d because the other one was unavailable for some time. We've now tried this one; Loki does eat it, but not as well as the z/d. The consistency is very firm, so I have to soak it in water. I'll probably switch back to z/d. Otherwise, it’s recommendable.

Allergy dog tolerates it.

My dog tolerates the food very well. However, the texture is a bit unusual.

Aussie with FMU and CAD tolerates it very well

My Australian Shepherd with canine atopic dermatitis and food allergies loves the wet food and tolerates it very well. We've tried everything – BARF, cooking, etc. – but Royal Canin Hypoallergenic and Anallergenic are unfortunately too fatty; they make him vomit and cause licky fits. With Hills z/d, his CAD wasn't well controlled, and his coat was very straw-like; with Hills d/d, his coat was great, but he had digestive issues. I hope I've finally found the right solution with Derm Complete now.
