Product description

Complete dry food designed to support the nutritional needs of ageing dogs, made with tender chicken and digestible rice in a wholesome recipe to promote a healthy weight and mobile joints.

As your dog ages, its nutritional needs will change. This Burns Original Senior+ Chicken & Brown Rice has been specially developed to meet these changing needs, with a recipe designed to promote overall wellbeing, a healthy bodyweight and mobile joints. The complete dry food is low in fat, allowing for a dog's decreasing activity levels as it gets older, as well as having added salmon oil to support healthy skin, coat and joints.
Burns Original Senior+ Chicken & Brown Rice is also enriched with other beneficial ingredients such as green tea and blueberry extract, which provide antioxidants and can help to keep the brain alert. Elderly lurcher with poor kidney function
My 13 year old dog has arthritis and poorly functioning kidneys. After some research, and prior experience with other types of Burns dry food, I started him on the Senior + a few days ago. As he has been on a very high meat content diet, I am surprised how well he accepts it and seems to really enjoy it. He is drinking less, and, as he is also on a new drug for his arthritis, seems more comfortable and active. It's early days, but I cant fault it.
