Your dog will be able to enjoy time outside in both rain or shine with the Doug Dog Kennel in your garden. It is made of waterproof material and is suitable for outdoor use. The extra-large terrace with a transparent roof is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. 

This dog kennel is made of varnished wood and features a roof covered with bitumen that can be opened up – handy for cleaning the inside of the kennel or letting some air in. The plastic caps on the wooden legs protect the material, and help to raise the kennel off the ground to avoid it becoming filled with water and to allow air to circulate underneath. This kennel is suitable for small to large dogs and is quick and easy to assemble.

Sizing: The given breed-specific recommendations are suggestions based on breed standards. The size of your individual dog should determine which size kennel you choose. You should refer to the internal dimensions as the external dimensions include those for the roof overhangs. 

Important: The kennel must not be too big for your dog to warm the inside with its own body heat and to stay cosy inside. If the kennel is too big, your dog may get cold very easily. 

Note: Accustom your pet slowly and gently to temporary accommodation in the kennel. Start by allowing your pet to stay relaxed in the kennel with the door open. Only then accustom it to being placed in the closed kennel and extend the length of stay. The kennel should never be used as a punishment, as it should be a safe and positive place for your four-legged friend.
Keeping a dog in a cage in a closed state is contrary to animal welfare and is only suitable for short-term accommodation for a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
Consult your local legislation for the correct and safe keeping of animals in cages.

For the price, it's okay.

The material is relatively cheap – thin, lightweight boards, no insulation or anything like that. No idea if it’s really weatherproof; April will tell. But at this price, I didn’t expect anything different. Assembly was done within 35 minutes. I bought it in size S for my Maine Coon tomcat (body length excluding tail: 55 cm) as a "summer house" for the rooftop terrace – fits perfectly. Although it smelled a bit odd, he accepted it.

Great cabin!

Finally, something stylish for dog kennels, not always the same old colours! Plus, the canopy is incredibly practical; our dog loves lying there in light rain and watching the raindrops. 10/10 points from us!

I bought the hut for my cat and was really impressed with how easy it was to assemble. Everything makes a very good impression! Unfortunately, I’ll have to repaint the house with weatherproof paint because it has to stand exposed to the elements, hence the one star deduction. I definitely recommend buying it!
