Poor value
OK, it works well to remove the undercoat, much better than an ordinary brush, but it has now broken after a couple of months. It's an expensive product, and should be more robust. One can buy a fine tooth comb much more cheaply, which does the job just as well. Waste of money.

Super piece of kit!
Despite several recommendations, I was always a bit hesitant to buy the Furminator because it comes with quite a hefty price tag. When it was on sale, I ordered it straight away, and I’m thrilled. Also ideal for cats
The smaller brush (the one recommended for cats) is, in my opinion, too fine. Now we’re using the one in size M for short-haired cats with partially dense fur (including a British Shorthair mix), and we’re very happy with it! Unbelievable and highly recommended!
I hesitated at first about whether to buy the Furminator or not. But a friend with a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever had very good experiences with it. So, I decided to give it a try. I’ve been brushing our nine-month-old Eurasier once a week (using the Trixie Universal Brush + Comb). It’s summer, and I’ve just combed mountains of fur out of him! He seems to find the Furminator less unpleasant than the Universal Brush – and the Furminator is definitely more effective too.
